"No, no, and no," Hermione huffed, looking quite fed up at the situation. "You're doing it completely wrong, Malfoy!"

"Oh yes, because the mudblood knows everything," Draco hissed, trying the wand movement for the umpteenth time.

"Look," she groaned, slipping out her own wand from underneath her robes and demonstrating the series of movements in the correct order, minus the incantation. "Just try again, I don't want to be stuck with you for the rest of the day."

"Likewise," he replied snidely. If my father heard I'd been helped by a muggle-born…

Hermione let out an exasperated growl, seeing Draco barely paying her attention as he still flicked his wand about in the wrong directions.

"This will only work if you decide to listen to me," she muttered curtly, nudging him with her elbow to grab his unwanted attention. Draco rolled his eyes in irritation before turning his gaze down to her wand, yet still not catching on to the finer details of the correct movements.

"Malfoy," she hissed abruptly, grabbing hold of his wrist. "Like this."

"What do you think you're do-"

Hermione ignored his protests and physically showed him the movements with her hands, guiding his wand in rhythm to the correct words which were to be spoken. Draco was practically fuming with embarrassment, only glad to be away from the other Slytherins - if they saw him-

Suddenly, Hermione froze in realisation of what she was doing, she was - she gulped - too close-

Draco had noticed this as well, trying his best to keep a scowl on his face, but he wasn't succeeding - he'd never seen Granger this close before. Meanwhile, Hermione was blushing profusely and quickly stepped away, refusing to look at him.

"Understand now?" she said quickly, feeling rather humiliated.

"Whatever, Granger." He said stiffly, hating the heat that seemed to coat his entire face. He demonstrated the move back to her, and, much to his relief, received her approval - although her mind seemed to be elsewhere.

Hermione watched him sidle over to the rest of the class again. So I'm not 'mudblood' anymore…

She smiled a little.

At least they were both on last name terms now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAN~DANN!
This was what I was being 'sneaky' on! :3
I thought, 'hey, why not - let's write a little short to go along with the picture.'

And surprisingly, it was quite fun to do!

Anyway, hope you enjoyed it, I hope it was a good Draco/Hermione fic for my first ever, and I hope I got them in character!
