Prelude

Ten-Towns, a city of great adventure. The town that used
to be ten separate towns, but grew overtime into one.
Most races were welcomed in this large city...

The cloaked figure dashed throughout the alleys of Bryn
Shander. He was being followed by a band of thieves. The
maze of the alleyways seemed endless no matter what the
figure did he could not seem to shake the rogues.
"This way! Follow that Drow!" one rogue spat. The black
elf had found a dead end.
"No where for you to run now, Elf." Their leader said
coolly.
"None for you either" the drow grinned. The rogues
stepped back as he drew his swords.
"Hahahaha they have no blades!" the crowd began to move
in closing in on the drow.

From his pouch he withdrew 2 gems , one blue, the other
red. The black elf slipped the gems into the hilts of
his blades. A stunning flash of light erupted from the
hilts summoning a blade of ice, the other of fire.
The humans were blinded from the flash. The drow didn't
miss the opportunity to strike. He thrusted his blade of
fire into the leaders stomach. The rogue couldn't even
feel the pain from the agile elves blade.
The drow tore his blade from the rogues stomach spilling
his blood on the floor. Without missing a beat he
flashed his blades through the first flank. His lavender
eyes had ignited a flame that only a warrior could
possess. The whirling scimitars left streaks of fire and
ice in the air as he slashed the second and third
flanks.
"Hardly worth my time" he spun around and left the
corpses for the rats.

A small child sat on her doorstep with a ragged doll at
her side, and her turquoise eyes gazed high into night
sky. She was not bothered by the chill of the dales
wind. The girl was lost in the stars not aware of the
sounds of objects crashing around in her house from her
parents quarreling.
The worn out door opened from behind her. A slender
woman with greasy hair and torn clothes appeared from
behind the child... but she did not notice.
The woman raised a club in the air ready to strike. An
arrow shot at the woman's head and bursted through the
other side of her head, spilling her brains across the
floor behind her. A dark figure began to move towards
the child, but she was still lost in the stars.
"Hello there, young one" the figure said grimly. The
little girl broke free from her gaze.
"Hiya" she greeted
"What is your name child?"
"Lissa, my name is Lissa" The figure pulled back his
cowl revealing his long, flowing silver hair that blew
over his black pointed ears. His lavender eyes met with
hers. "Hey mister what is your name" her innocent smile
stunned the elf. He had never been treated as an equal
in this city.
"Stridis Xek'Tere" he said softly. He approached Lissa
and sat down next to her, and gazed at the stars with
his arm held close to her. Lissa laid her head on his
arm.
"They are pretty don't you think?" Lissa asked gently
"Indeed, they are" The drow responded "Indeed, they are"
Stridis lifted Lissa and began to carry her. "Come with
me , Miss Lissa" not that the girl had a choice being
carried in his arms.
"Where are we going?" the child asked half asleep
"The dwarven city of Good Mead, where I can get you a
safe home" the drow knew she didn't hear him.
