Annabeth
I was on my bed looking at my beads on my necklace. An owl symbolizing wisdom, and a pine tree of an importance better left unsaid. I also have a bead with a scarf made of gold, a bead with a twisting maze, and last but certainly not least a bead with a tall skyscraper. Thinking about the beads only made Annabeth's despair to go back to camp that much greater.
"Honey" called Annabeth's father from the kitchen. Annabeth knew that her stepmother would not put up with her being late for dinner so she raced down the stairs. She immediately stopped when she saw who was here. "Percy what are you doing here" I asked. "Your parents invited me over for dinner tonight" Percy exclaimed. Oh great another day full of embarrassment for Annabeth. Last time this happened her parents covered three years worth of her embarrassing stories. This time it was worse Annabeth's parents were talking about the time she ran into a wall. After an hour of these kind of stories Annabeth screamed 'What is this pick on Annabeth night" then she stormed of to her room. Annabeth started to do something she hadn't done in a long time cry.
"Ok you can go now Percy" said Annabeth's father as he escorted Percy out the door. Annabeth cried herself to sleep this time. Her parents came and tucked her in and apologized, but Annabeth was already asleep. Her father then realized how fragile her feelings were and that maybe they could have told different stories. Now ashamed her parents crawled into bed.
Percy
Percy walked home with his head down. He couldn't believe he laughed at Annabeth like that. He also couldn't believe her parents acted like that with company over. As Percy walked home he wondered if Annabeth would ever forgive him. As Percy got home he asked his mom if he could borrow the car so he could take Annabeth to dinner for her birthday tomorrow. "Sure thing just be careful" said my mom with a overly positive tone. So I changed into my pyjamas and claimed into bed, thinking about Annabeth and how hurt she was Percy just couldn't sleep.
Percy knew he had to make it up to her and he knew just how he could. With that final thought he drifted of into a deep sleep. In Percy's dream he saw Annabeth crying, then a fancy restaurant, then a nice house, and finally Annabeth on her bed. Percy woke up startled by his mom's face hovering over his. "Wake up she said...Annabeth is at the door waiting for you" she said positively. And with that he rushed to get his close on and then raced to the door. And sure enough she was there looking as beautiful as ever, in her orange camp ha... wait a minute she had on a short purple dress. Ohhh yeah he was taking her to dinner tonight she must have wanted to come early. "Come inside and sit down" my mom said tearing up, she hasn't seen Annabeth since before the Titan War. "Ok thanks" said Annabeth as she walked in and sat on the couch.
