Artemis looked around the area, it was a total dump, an ozone layer polluter, and he was very excited to change it. He looked at the odds, this place was perfect to try out his new invention, there was only one problem, it was packed. Artemis looked to Butler, but, as usual, Butler was no help. He was smirking away, looking at the corner where a group of teenagers were huddled.

"What now?" Artemis asked impatiently.

"Someone is finally interested in your pale complexion," Butler replied nodding to a girl about Artemis's age.

Sure enough she was continuously glancing at Artemis; he felt his stomach lurch, stupid hormones.

After several nods from her companions, the girl walked cautiously towards them, as she got nearer, Artemis was able to see her features more clearly, she had blond hair that didn't look natural, her eyes were a deep blue she was taller than Artemis, and she didn't look Irish, this girl was a tourist. She was wearing ripped jeans and an "I Edward t-shirt," she had a twilight book (whatever that was) tightly gripped in her arms.

She looked longingly at Artemis and when he looked at her, but then quickly lowered her head, "umm," she said keeping her head down, "I was wondering..."

Artemis nodded impatiently, prodding her to finish.

She finally looked up at him and met his gaze, "Are you a vampire?"

Artemis's face went hot, he heard Butler snicker and mutter something like "interested in your pale complexion indeed,"

Artemis turned his face and glared at Butler, then he turned back to her, "I'm no whiz, but aren't vampires supposed to be handsome?" He heard Butler stifling a laugh behind him.

"That's what I thought too," the girl said shyly, "but you could be an exception."

Artemis felt his face grow hot, "No I am NOT a vampire," he snapped, and the girl ran away frightened. He then turned to Butler and said, "It's too crowded here, let's go"

Artemis was so upset he almost didn't here Butler's "smoooooooth." Almost.
