"I want to be the ally of Justice."
Shirou Emiya, the newly promoted detective is fresh out of training. With his sharp mind and wit, what cases would he uncover and solve.
Genre: mystery
Magecraft: limited Structural Analysis and Reinforcement (how much depends on you)
Sidekick: If you want one.
Well, that's it. Never actually read a detective Shirou that solves mystery cases before, so this story idea should be interesting.
Anyways here's a poorly written prologue for the beginning. Too bad I know nothing about mystery.
Throw it away or adopt it if you want.
Prologue
"...Dojima"
The man to his far right walks up to the stage whilst accompanied by applause. He approaches the burly man and shook the large hand.
Beside him, a woman in the formal police uniform, awards him a scroll with a fancy red ribbon.
"Congrat-" Shirou Emiya tunes out the recited speech like a boring old music track playing in the background which has been repeated for the 10 minutes that he and his course-mates stood rigidly in formation.
"They could have just given us some chairs to sit at the very least." Shirou whispers.
"Yeah, my legs are bloody tired. At least there are air-cons in the main hall." The man to his right whispers. "Heard them going over to the buffet next door."
"Oh?" Shirou raises his eyebrows. "Is the buffet...?" He joins in the applause as another one strode up to the stage.
"Nope. Just VIP only and just checked, no walk-in chefs."
Shirou sighs and shook his head.
"Cole Drebin" The amplified deep voice calls.
"Well, time for my legs to do some work." Cole straightens his tie and walks up to the stage.
Shirou watches the same repeated proceedings occurs for his friend.
Walk up, exchange words, shake hands, take scroll, and leave through the back door.
"Last but not least, Shirou Emiya." Shirou took a breath and walks out of the large formation.
His legs carry him towards and up the stage, stopping before the burly man.
"Shirou Emiya." The burly man said. "Your reputation precedes you."
"Thank you, sir." Shirou replies with the most formal of tone.
"Good grades and high praise from the instructors. You might be the best detective we had ever produced in this facility. But we would see whether that talent holds up in the real world." The burly man's eyes narrows slightly.
"In any case, Anwen will you?" The woman beside him hands over a blue ribbon scroll.
Shirou shook the large offered hand and accepts the scroll. He then left for the back door as the next name is called on the microphone.
Behind the backdoor is simply empty, but it is to be expected as the clock is already pointing its short hand on the number 12. Almost everyone will at cafeteria or stuck in the ceremony at his back.
Shirou sighs with a smile, pulling apart the ribbon on the scroll.
"I want to be the ally of Justice." Shirou whispers as he reads the scroll that indicated that his completion of the detective training course.
"Father, I am finally one now."
