Kiryuu Zero woke slowly, a headache bouncing inside his skull. As he buried his face in the palm of his hands, he struggled to piece together the events of the previous evening.
"Come on, Zero. Live a little!" Yuuki had said that as she handed him a glass of punch and a piece of cake. So that is how it was. Apparently the Chairman had arranged an activity for the Day and Night classes to participate in together. Enjoy himself at a party with vampires? Not a chance.
A sudden thought occurred to him: When... no, how did I get back here? Glancing about the room he came to realize this was not his. The furniture was more in line with Yuuki's room...
He sat up with neck breaking speed. Oh, no. At the sudden movement, a groan came from his left. There was someone wrapped up in the covers of the bed. I... we didn't, he thought horrified. Did we ...? Things were not looking promising. It was not supposed to happen like this. There were so many things that needed to be said. He would never forgive himself if he hurt her like that. Bracing himself for her wrath, he reached over, "Yuuki... I..."
She stopped shuffling under the sheets. He continued, "... I won't ask your forgiveness, Yuuki. I've hurt you enough as it is. I just..."
"Why apologize now?" she said, only "she" was not Yuuki. Hanabusa Aidou's head appeared from beneath the mass of covers. "We had fun, right?" with a wink.
Headmaster Cross was pouring coffee into his favorite cup when the sound of gunshots erupted.
"DIE, VAMPIRE!"
Ah, Zero-kun is so lively in the afternoon, Cross thought to himself as he remembered the success of the party. He took out two more mugs and filled them with juice. Placing them in front of his guests as they stared confusedly in the direction of Zero's shout.
"I guess Zero is having problems remembering, too?" Yuuki wondered aloud. The Chairman mumbled unintelligently as he started making his way to his office.
She shivered as Kaname nuzzled the side of her neck. He whispered in her ear, "Shall I help you remember?"
Notes: My attempt at keeping everyone in-character. Wrote this a while ago. Around the time I did Song For You but never got around to posting it. Meh, need all the humor we can get with all the current happenings.
