Broken Heart

This is a one-shot I put together, with a NarutoxIno pairing and some Sakura bashing. Also, Naruto and Kakashi's friendship will evolve in this story as well.

Naruto had woken up about fifteen minutes ago, had gotten dressed, had a quick breakfast, and was now walking down a street in Konoha. Naruto was looking for Sakura, hoping that she would finally say yes when he asked her out today. Even though Sakura constantly shot him down, Naruto was still as stubborn as ever, and every day he persisted in trying to get Sakura to go out with him. Naruto then spotted Sakura walking in front of him and, noticing that there were only a few people around, he began jogging to catch up with Sakura, hoping to ask her out. As Naruto caught up to her, he tapped her on the shoulder, and she turned around to face him.

"Hey Sakura, how are you today?"

"What do you want, Naruto?" Sakura asked him coldly, hoping to turn him off.

"I-I was just wondering if you wanted to do something together today. We could train together, or get something to eat from Ichiraku. I'll pay for it all."

"Naruto, I'd never go out with you even if you were the last guy on Earth. You're worthless, you'll never become Hokage, and you'll never get a date with anyone! I don't want you asking me out again, you worthless bastard! Now get out of my sight! I never want to see you again!"

Naruto visibly flinched from Sakura's malicious and hurtful comments. He had never expected Sakura to treat him this way. Naruto put his head down and turned away from Sakura, walking in the opposite direction.

Naruto was walking back in the direction of his house, but his head was still hanging down as what Sakura told him finally began to sink in. Maybe he was worthless, because he had been alone all of his life and no girl ever wanted to go out with him or even spared him a second glance. Naruto knew that he wasn't the greatest looking guy around, but he thought that someone would have wanted to at least get to know him better. However, those hopes were dashed in an instant when his dream girl tore his heart in two by what she had said.

Naruto wasn't watching where he was going and bumped into someone, and when he looked, he found that it was Kakashi, his old sensei and mentor. Naruto had hoped that he wouldn't run into anyone he knew, but at least Kakashi had never hurt his feelings like Sakura had.

"Sorry about that, Kakashi-sensei. I guess my mind is somewhere else today."

"It's all right, Naruto."

Naruto was about to walk past Kakashi and continue on his way, however, as Naruto began walking, he felt Kakashi's gloved hand on his shoulder, and he craned his head around to see what he wanted.

"Naruto, is something wrong? You look really down."

"It's nothing; I just want to go home. I'm just really tired. Thanks for asking, Kakashi-sensei."

"Naruto, I can tell that there's something else bothering you. Even though my job is to make you better at being a ninja, it's also my duty to care for all of my students as well. I'm not a psychologist, but I can listen to someone's problems if the need arises. You should get whatever is bothering you off your chest, Naruto."

"No, I just can't, Kakashi-sensei. I don't want to burden you with this, and besides, I can make do on my own, like I have so many times before. Thanks for caring though, Kakashi-sensei."

Kakashi then let go of Naruto's shoulder, and Naruto began to make his way back to his home, feeling lifeless on the inside. Kakashi watched him go and knew from Naruto's posture that there was something seriously wrong with him, as Naruto was always the bright and chipper one in the village. Kakashi then began to walk toward the Hokage Tower, hoping to find Sakura there and get some answers from her, as she knew Naruto better than anyone.

As Naruto made it home and went inside, he went straight to his room and, not bothering to change out of his clothes, he lied down on his bed and turned on his side, but could not fall asleep as tears threatened to fall as he remembered what Sakura had said to him.

'Am I really worthless? Maybe Sakura was right. I don't even have a girlfriend yet, and I'm living all by myself. Besides Kakashi-sensei, who else truly cares for me as a friend?'

Naruto couldn't hold his tears back anymore and they flowed freely down his cheeks, and he cried himself to sleep, exhaustion finally overtaking him.

Kakashi had made it to the Hokage Tower and found Sakura there, and he walked up to her, wanting answers as to why Naruto seemed so upset.

"Sakura, I spoke with Naruto just a little while ago, and he seemed very upset, though he wouldn't tell me what was bothering him. Do you know what's going on with him?"

"N-no, Kakashi-sensei, I'm not sure."

"Sakura, did you hurt him in any way? I've never seen him so down before. He looked like a walking zombie. Naruto's always cheerful and looking on the bright side of things."

"You know what; I did hurt him, Kakashi-sensei! And I feel great about doing it! That bastard Naruto's always bugging me for a date, and I finally got him off my back!"

"Sakura, what has Naruto ever done to you to deserve being treated how you've treated him? All he's done is be nice to you and ask you out when no one else has and what do you do? You throw it in his face! I don't think he'll ever be the same again after what you've done!"

"I don't care! Now I can finally have my Sasuke without Naruto on my back constantly! I could care less about how Naruto feels!"

'I can't believe what I'm hearing! Sakura really is a bitch!'

"I don't see how anyone could want to be with you after what you did to Naruto. You don't deserve anyone after the stunt you pulled."

Kakashi then turned around and walked away from Sakura, his words hitting home like a ton of bricks. Sakura, for the first time in her life, actually started to feel a little remorse for all the times she had hurt Naruto or turned him away. She then got up and began walking in the direction of Naruto's house, hoping to apologize to him for what she had said.

Naruto awoke a few hours later to a light tapping on his door and looked at his clock; it read 7:00 P.M. As he slowly got up and made his way to the door, he was about to open it but didn't want to see Sakura right now, so he called out to see who it was.

"Who is it?"

"It's Ino. Can I come in, Naruto?"

'Ino? What's she doing here? She's never came to see me before. Well, I might as well see what she wants.'

Naruto opened the door to find Ino standing there in her usual purple clothing and her hair covering one of her eyes. Naruto always thought that Ino was pretty, but he never really took the time to get a good look at her or get to know her better. Naruto thought that she looked beautiful tonight, wearing those shorts that showed off her long, slender legs.

"Are you going to stare at me all night or are you going to let me in, Naruto?" Ino asked playfully with a wink.

Naruto blushed and stepped inside, allowing Ino to come in, her eyes taking in his small apartment. As Naruto sat down on his living room couch, Ino suddenly sat down on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Am, Ino, not that I mind or anything but why are you sitting in my lap?"

"Well, I overheard what happened with Sakura earlier and I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. Sakura should have never said what she said to you."

"Yeah, well, I think that was the last straw for me. She just went too far this time, and I just feel so hurt and broken inside, Ino. I-I just don't know what to do. I-I don't mean to bother you with this, it's just-" Ino pressed a delicate finger to his lips to shush him, and then leaned in to whisper in his ear.

"Well, I think I know how to take your mind off of all that, Naruto." Ino whispered to him seductively, which made Naruto blush a deep crimson.

"W-what d-do you mean, Ino?"

Ino responded by leaning in to kiss him, and Naruto didn't know what to do, as he had never been kissed before. As Ino pulled away after a couple of seconds, Naruto was still in a state of shock. Ino then smiled seductively and asked him.

"So, how did you like that?"

"It, it was amazing. I've never felt anything like that before."

"Would you like to do it again?"

"Y-yes, I would like to."

Ino giggled at his shyness and leaned in again, this time staying for a couple more seconds and then shocked Naruto by darting her tongue out and licking Naruto's lips. Naruto got the message and opened his mouth, Ino's tongue quickly darting in and massaging Naruto's tongue, Naruto moaning into her mouth at the feeling. Ino then pulled away and then she and Naruto heard a knock at the door.

"I wonder who that could be?"

Ino got up off of Naruto's lap and Naruto made his way to the door. When he opened it, who was standing there was the last person he wanted to see right now. Standing at his door was Sakura, and Naruto was curious as to why she was here.

"Sakura, what are you doing here?"

"I-"

"You know what, Sakura, don't bother explaining. If you came here to apologize, just save it! I've never felt so down and hurt in my life, and you know what, you're the cause of it all! All the times I've asked you out, hoping for just one date with you! All the times you've denied me, I still kept my hopes up, because I loved you! But, I can't love you anymore after what you did. You really hurt me this time, Sakura, and I can never forgive you for it! So just keep all of your apologies to yourself! You can go to hell for all I care, just stay the hell away from me, you cold, heartless bitch!"

Naruto watched Sakura wince and then turn around to leave, Naruto hoping that he would never see her again. After Naruto slammed his door shut, he felt a pair of arms materialize around the back of his neck, and turned around to see Ino, a mischievous glint in her eye.

"So, Naruto, where were we?"

Naruto responded by picking Ino up bridal style and slamming her against the wall, pinning her there as he began to kiss her neck. Ino gasped and wrapped her arms around his neck, Naruto bringing his lips up to meet hers, their tongues meeting yet again. As Naruto and Ino passionately kissed, Kakashi watched from one of the windows of Naruto's apartment.

'Good for you, Naruto. You deserve someone who won't hurt you like Sakura did. I'm happy for you.'

Kakashi then walked away, leaving the two young lovers alone together.

As Naruto continued kissing Ino, his sadness had finally evaporated, and he finally was happy as it looked like he had his first girlfriend.

"Ino, would you like to go out with me sometime? We could go to Ichiraku to get some ramen. I'll buy, of course. Or we could-"

Ino then shushed by pressing a finger to his lips yet again.

"Naruto, I'd love to go out with you. You're a really nice guy, and I'd like to get to know you better."

Naruto's eyes lit up, as he finally got a girl to go out with him. He then proceeded to kiss Ino again, happy that he had finally found someone who truly cared for him.

I hope that everyone enjoyed this, as this is my first Naruto one-shot! I'm a big fan of the NarutoxIno pairing, so I really enjoyed making this! I also think that Naruto and Kakashi should have a better friendship, as they have been through so much together! Please review to let me know if you enjoyed this!
