"Are you sure you want that one?" Kiba asked, pointing to the very top of a tree where a single apple sat.
"H-hai." Hinata nodded shyly.
"But it looks like all the others…" Kiba reasoned for the umpteenth time that morning.
"I-Iie. That one is a deeper red, it's going to be the sweetest." Was her quiet reply.
"Sweetest?" Kiba tilted his head.
"H-hai." The girl nodded again.
"You should have just said that!" Kiba's face broke into a smirk, "I'm used to sweet things!"
Hinata gave him a confused look.
"H-how come?" she asked. Kiba gave a cheeky wink and before she could say anything more, leaped up into the tree branches. Hinata frowned. Figures. She was about to let disappointment wash over her when his next words made her smile.
"I hang out with you don't I?"
