A/N: hello! So, I honestly love Lee and Donna together. They are such a cute couple. :3 Now here is my one-shot where something actually goes my way in Doctor Who XD

Enjoy! =D

"D-D-D-" he attempted, stuttering in pure desperation.

Any moment now and that beam would shine up, transporting him away from his love, his dream girl who was now walking away.

He looked back at the woman who was preparing the device and back to the place where Donna had just been standing.

With all his might and all his will power, he opened his mouth and yelled "WAIT!"

She stopped pulling up the lever and blinked at him, "is there a problem, sir?"

Without answering he stepped away from the teleportation device and ran with all his might. He may stutter but his voice had helped when he needed it the most. Now his legs were carrying him to where he needed to go and they had never failed him.

'Donna,' he thought, rounding yet another corner, 'I'm coming. Don't go!"

He began to slow into a fast jog but saw a flash of ginger hair and he called out again, "I am r-real!"

At last, he had her attention and she had finally turned to see him fully. There stood Lee, the man she had almost lost but was not yet rid of. He had returned safely.

One last desperate attempt and Donna found herself running towards him and he scooped her up into the warmest hug she had ever experienced.

The question "Am I real?" echoed through her head but then the answer came to her. "You are so, so real."

The Doctor, who found himself staring at their embrace, his heart heavy from his loss of River and his love for Rose, couldn't help but feel happy for his new best friend. She had found her happy ending and she didn't need to be simply "alright". Everything, every single last thing, he realised as he stood there with his hands in his jacket pockets, was going to be okay… For her at least. He began to wonder if Rose was okay too but shook the thought off.

They say home is where the heart is. If this saying is true, Donna had found her home and Lee had found his too.

"I'm glad you're real."

Lee smiled, "I'm glad you're real too."

He said it with strength, his stutter was placed to the side momentarily for the second time in five minutes. Lee was glad he could speak for those two single times without problem too and he gathered by the kiss he suddenly received that it didn't matter. Donna seemed to love him unconditionally and his affection for her would not allow him to see fault in her.

Donna was the most important person in the universe to Lee.

This moment was perfect...
