"Harry. She hasn't given up. She can't."
He had stood there, leaning against the post, staring out at the fields in front of the house. But when he heard her, when he heard the answer to his largest dilemma since the rise and fall of Voldemort, He turned to face Hermione.
She immediately saw the conflict in his face, and the question. And she watched as he turned silently, and entered the door that she had previously come from.
Before the door could swing shut, a hand slipped through, followed by the frame of a tall, lean red head. In two strides, he joined Hermione, resting his arm around her shoulder, and she slipped an arm around his waist.
"Where's he gone?" he asked
"To Ginny"
Finally

There was a quick rap at her door.
"Go away."
Yet, the steady knock persisted.
Thinking it was her mum, she stood up from her position on the bed and shuffled toward the door. Wiping quick tears off her cheeks, she gripped the handle, trying to control her features. She had to be strong.
When she opened her door, her eyes widened, and immediately closed it once again. Her hand flew to her mouth, and she turned, sliding to the floor. Counting to five, she got up and opened the door again.
"What do you want?"
Harry didn't say anything. He just stood there, staring at her. Then, rather abruptly, he strode forward and crushed his mouth to hers. He caught the back of her head in one hand and wrapped the other around her waist.
She was obviously caught by surprise, but quickly ran her hands up his chest to rest around his neck. Taking a step back, he quickly followed, never letting go, and kicking the door shut behind them. Soon, he had pushed her up against the dresser.
She didn't feel the pain. She couldn't. all she could process was the confusion, the quiet ache, the deep love, and the feel of his hands on her body. All too soon, he had stopped, and rested his forehead on hers.
"Harry you prat!"
"Ginny, wait, I have to tell you," he said with a slight laugh, "that I love you." Her breath immediately caught in her throat. She couldn't breathe, she couldn't think.
"I love you so much, and yet I was so afraid that after all that I had put you through, you wouldn't take me back. All year, when I wasn't caught up with Voldemort, all I could think of was you. I even focused more on him so I could get my mind off of you." He said, with a laugh. "after the battle, after what happened to you and your family, I tried so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that you're better off without me. And the thing is, I can't. I won't."
"Harry, I-"
"Take me back."
"Harry-"
"I won't run away anymore. I can't. I can't possibly stand it."
An incredible warmth spread through her body to the tips of her fingers. Without saying anything she leaned forward and kissed him, pouring everything she felt into that one, single kiss.
"Harry, never in a million years has the fact that I'd be better off without you been true." Ginny said, pushing him onto the bed. "You know why?" she asked, straddling him and running her hands though his hair. She watched him smile and shake his head.
"Because, Harry you idiot, I love you too."
