Fearless

Description: Ryan makes Kelsi fearless. One-Shot

It's just prom, Kelsi. Just prom, she thought, her heart beating a million miles a minute. She didn't know why she was so nervous. She was just going to prom with Ryan. How long had she known Ryan now? She must've been five when her mom started working for his. What did that make it? Thirteen years? Yeah, thirteen years.
The petite brunette looked at herself in the mirror one more time. She wondered if she looked okay. Sure, her parents told her that she looked beautiful, but they were her parents. It was their job to do that. She looked down at the turquoise designer dress she was wearing. Did it really suit her the way Sharpay insisted it did when she had forced her to go dress shopping with her?
Kelsi heard the doorbell ring and she was pretty sure her heard stopped. For some reason, her hearing seemed to be heightened, as she heard her mother open the door and invite Ryan in. She also heard her father threaten poor Ryan.
"Kelsi, dear," her mother said at the bottom of the stairway, "It's time." Kelsi took a deep breath, grabbed her clutch purse, (which was provided by Sharpay,) and made her way downstairs.
As she walked down the stairs, she held her breath, waiting for Ryan's response. He smiled widely; she blush a bright red and smiled back. When she got to him, he gave her a corsage, and she thanked him.
"Ready, Kels?" Ryan asked, staring into her eyes.
"Yes," Kelsi replied, biting her lip shyly.
He escorted her outside, where a limo was waiting. Inside were Zeke and Sharpay. The two couples made pleasant conversation all the way there.
When they got there, Zeke and Sharpay got out of the vehicle. Ryan moved to get out, too, but Kelsie stopped him, grabbing his arm.
His brow furrowed, "What's up, Kels?"
She didn't say a word. Kelsi thought that she was insane for doing what she was about to do. She gulped and turned to face Ryan.
She leaned over to him and kissed him lightly on the lips.
Kelsi felt a rush as she did that. It was their first kiss; her first kiss. It was amazing. It was wonderful. It was everything she had wanted it to be.
It was fearless.
A/N: I'm just pumping out these song-inspired one-shots. This one was inspired by 'Fearless' by Taylor Swift
