So.Just.Smile: Okay, I've had this written up for quite a while, haven't gotten that far in the story, but I felt bored and just decided to post it.

Disclaimer: I, in no way whatsoever, own Harry Potter. That's J.K. Rowling and I believe she did a very good job.

Prologue

Scream.

Scream out all the pain.

Make it disappear.

The light vanishes.

Darkness returns.

It's different.

Don't run.

Embrace it.

Falling…

…Then…nothing…

It had been a normal day, well, as normal as it could get at Hogwarts. All the children and young adults went about their business, forgetting the problems of their world. After all, when the day is bright and everything seems perfect, it shouldn't be ruined by the fact that there were dark happiness-stealing creatures that brought forth nothing but despair and misery—dementors. Nor should the day be ruined because said creatures were around to protect the students of Hogwarts from a recently escaped convict who was extremely dangerous, and apparently cunning enough to have escaped from the wizarding jail, Azkaban.

No, the day was perfect from morning, and so it seemed it would be till night—but it wasn't. It all started just as the school year began. When the dementors first arrived, some of the teachers noticed it. When the students arrived, a few also noticed it. Out of all the many dark and cold creatures at the school, the ones that watched every entrance of the school for the criminal known as Sirius Black, there was one that was different.

This very special dementor seemed to be different, though it was hard to tell, which is why so very few noticed. It wasn't as dark, or foreboding, or cold. Its dark robes—that were more like rags than anything else—seemed faded and a bit more on the gray side than an unnatural black, unlike its cohorts. It didn't hold the same aura as the rest did: dark, cold, evil, and sinister. It seemed to steer clear of everyone and everything, even its…colleagues. In some ways, at times, it even gave the impression of being human—that is, if one came into contact with it, which was rare, it was, after all, a dementor.

Everything was going fine, or at least, it wasn't at its worst, when it all happened on that very fine day.

On this perfectly happy-filled, easy-going, homework-free day, something happened.

Something that usually only happens every thousand years or so.

Something that changed things drastically.

It—she—is called a Redemptor.

So.Just.Smile:
So, there it is. Not completely sure what I'm gonna do with this, but, tell me what you think. Thanks.
