Sonimé
Yes, my first Sonimé! I never thought I'd be writing one but when my dumb, slow brain realize it was Kailey's birthday I thought I would try something new. I actually have a bigger respect for the pairing now...
Hope you guys enjoy the story!
Disclaimer: I own nothing. I think that's the shortest I ever put it
It's always about her, isn't it?
Only once in a blue moon was Naminé ever struck with anger or jealousy. The sweet, caring girl accepted the rules of life, and took no time whining about it. There are so many things, though, that she should have brought to someone's attention, and yet she kept quiet, not wanting to annoy anyone over some petty problem of her's. Today, though; today Naminé was willing to walk right up to Larxene and rant about the current situation. Naminé was willing to talk to anyone, especially him.
She silently whimpered as she peered into the glass ball. A young teenager with spiky, brown hair was confidently walking up a driveway. He looked down at the small box that was in his tight grip and smiled. He had gotten the perfect gift for a certain someone. And he was so excited to present it to her.
Naminé was begging to be the girl behind the door. She wanted to be the receiver of the gift. Instead she was in a white room, with no one else around her. She was alone, paining to have someone beside her. Of course, nobody could hear her worries. Nobody barely even cared. One person did, but he was in another world.
The brunette knocked on the front day and it was quickly opened. There stood a young girl, looking similar to Naminé, but there were some differences. The girl had auburn hair and violet eyes. If only Naminé could look like her. Then maybe he would love her.
"Hi, Sora! What brings you here?" the girl questioned.
Sora looked down at the gift, "Well, since it's your birthday I wanted to get you a gift."
Even more pain rushed into Naminé's heart. Yes, it was Kairi's birthday, but it was also her's. They were almost the same person, just one was a somebody, and the other a nobody. Of course, no one cared about the nobody. They had no purpose in life. Even though Sora said he would always keep her in his heart, she knew that was a lie. Kairi came back into view, and Naminé was kicked out. Sora probably forgot about her, and yet Naminé couldn't get him out of her mind. He was the only person she ever cared deeply for. He was the only person she ever loved. And now, right before her, she realized that she wasn't the one for him. Kairi was, NOT her.
The blonde quivered as she whispered, "You're lucky, Kairi. Happy birthday."
Naminé slid her chair back and dropped her drawing pad on the table. Her hand closed into a fist, enclosing all of her emotions into her hand. She would stay controlled, though; she didn't want anyone seeing her lose it. Instead, she took a deep breath and pushed the white door open. All she needed was fresh air. A place where Sora wouldn't be mentioned.
"Oh, thanks, Sora! I really appreciate the gift!" she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and his face quickly became red. Kairi offered him to come inside and he gladly accepted. On his way in though, he looked out to the sky, and whispered something so softly that it was almost impossible to hear.
"Happy birthday, Naminé."
