Rose Tyler Broke away from the Doctor as she heard the sound of TARDIS saying goodbye to her for the last time. She ran a few steps towards the emptiness before her.
Cold hand slipped in hers, she looked up into the hazel eyes of the Doctor. Her Doctor. The Doctor she knew and loved. But was it really him? It was hard to believe. Their hands felt like it, the same man. She did not regret him staying with her. He was hers and she was his. Just as it should be. She could finally fulfill her promise of forever. This was what she crossed dimensions for. This was why she did the impossible and she did not regret even a second of it.
"Pete's on his way," Jackie said reminding them of her presence. They both jumped at the sound of her voice. "Let's just stay here for a bit, there's no bloody gas station anywhere near. He has to drop us here. Bloody Norway."
The Doctor watched her in amusement. His stomach growled.
"New NewNew Body," He grinned at Rose.
She grinned back. Yup, she thought, the exact same man.
You'll have to wait, mister," she informed him. "It's your brain that landed us here. God I hate this place." She sighed and sat down on the sand. She grasped the moist sand in her hands and let it slip through her fingers. She felt sick. All those memories of the last time on this beach made her head spin. She could even remember where he disappeared leaving her alone in the middle of the Bad Wolf Bay. His confession, his last confession, still on his lips.
The stupid alien git.
Rose gritted her teeth. She hated him for not saying it, even now when he has the chance. The Doctor sat down next to her. She glanced at him. He said it to her. Those three little a final confession. He was the Doctor, completely and utterly him. But one question still trembled her mind.
"You killed them,' rose said to him. "The Daleks. You committed genocide. The real Doctor-"
"-would've done the same thing. "He interrupted, looking at her.
"No he wouldn't."
"Yes, he would. If he didn't, Rose do you think he would've left an entire empire of the Daleks lurking about?"
"But they were across the Medusa Cascade Doctor," Rose countered.
"How d'you know about-"
"Just answer me Doctor."
"If they found a way to move the Earth, they can find a way back across the Medusa Rose. It has to be done. And you did the same thing, to save me."
"So you say." Rose shot back. She looked at the hurt expression on his face. "M sorry," she whispered. "Didn't mean that."
"It's okay," The Doctor said, not looking at her. "We're the same then Rose." He looked up, his eyes boring in hers. "you and me. We're the same."
He took her hand and smiled.
How she has missed that smile. It fit his face perfectly.
" But are you okay with this?" He asked raising their intertwined hands. "You and me?One heart?"
"I don't care, you're still the same man Doctor. New NewNew Doctor." She grinned at him. Her real, proper, heart-melting, gorgeous grin, Her tongue poking out of her teeth.
"But I'm you newnewnew Doctor," he said. "And now," he said pulling out of the TARDIS coral out of his trouser pocket. "We'll have a new new TARDIS.
"In this new new universe," Rose said.
"With our new new lives. "The Doctor finished his eyes sparkling.
"Forever." Rose smiled and squeezed his hand.
Oh, he was the same Doctor alright. Her Doctor.
And their lives before Doctor in the TARDIS, with Rose as it should be. And who knew, maybe if they were lucky they may even cross the universes in their journey.
