Loyalty.

He loved his Princess. She was kind and lovely and wise beyond her years. It was painful to part with her, but he found he loved his new master even more. Master Zagato was tall and dark and imposing, but he was kind to him and he was not afraid. He never called him mean names like Alcyone did, nor he looked down on him like Lafarga did sometimes. For Master Zatago, he was always Innova, in that soft and gentle voice that made it impossible to deny him something.

He had given up more than half of his power to comply to his Master's wishes, to become human and be his closest companion. Innova hadn't argued, not at all, not at how painful it had been, how dull his senses felt, how cold his new body was. He had merely nodded and smiled when his Master had asked him if he was fine.

He didn't how to call what he felt for his Master. The consuming need to please him, to make him smile, to erase that horrible frown from his features. He lost count of the times he ended up curled at the feet of his master's favorite chair, chin resting on his knees and softly asking if there was anything else he could do. There had to be, something else, something more. Something that would make his Master smile, for him and him only.

Innova didn't know how to call the feeling that swelled within him with every soft word of praise, but he guessed it was what humans called Loyalty.
