Marlene stormed down the Ravenclaw tower clutching one of Rita's trash of an article. It had been circulating around the school for as long as she can remember and this is not the first time she had been fuming mad about what was written on it. Mostly they are lies but when it's about Sirius you rarely had to double check. That boy surely can't keep his manhood to himself even they had been going out for three bloody months already. This time the article said he was caught making out in the broom closet after practice with a 4th year Hufflepuff.
Everyone made way as she trudged down the lake where she knew the ebony-haired bloke will be hanging out with the rest of the Marauders. Just like she expected, there he was laughing at Peter's antics while Remus was with a book and James instructing Peter. "Sirius Black!" She shouted when she was close enough to be heard. The marauders looked at her all looking alarmed and Sirius even gulped. They know very well not to cross her when she's in this mood. The other three immediately straightened, James and Remus stood up and Peter stopped they were doing. "We better go…" James said knowing a fight will ensue and they better take cover when they still can.
As soon as the other marauders turned their backs, the blonde flung the piece of paper at Sirius who was just about to stand up and walk closer to where she is. If her looks can kill, he was probably six feet under by now. "What's this, Marly bear?" He took the wrinkled paper and knew immediately what it was.
"Don't call me that!" She spat then crossed her arms. "Who was it, Sirius?" The boy looked at her with mixed confusion then sighed. "Marlene, don't tell me you believe this bloody crap that Skeeter write." He moved closer and as much as Marlene wanted to step back she stood still. Pulling her to his arms, he looked at her blue green eyes with his stormy gray ones, searching for understanding. "Darling, you know fully well how I turned my back to my ways when you finally stop running from me yeah? Girls are just jealous, see some sense here. Do you think James will not kill me first if he finds out I've cheated on you?"
Marlene thought about it and somehow what he said made sense. She looked at his eyes. Those same eyes that reflected love and honesty at the same time. Those are the same eyes that makes her knees weak. He wrapped his arms around her and she knows her anger is ebbing away just being here with him. She knows this weakness she feels with him is wrong, it's even so shallow if you think about it, but then again, maybe that's how love is supposed to be like. He was her weakness and somehow all this childish fights and silly rumors just pales in comparison.
