Amy hears the Doctor sleep-talking, and he sounds sad, desperate.
She Goes to inevstigate.
Amy rubbed her eyes as she walked down the TARDIS halls. She needed a glass of water. She left Rory reading a novel about a whole -Sciencey-doctor-thingy-mahgigger-, and she wanted a little midnight snack. She passed the bathroom and the closet and the Doctor's room ,where he was sleeping at that very moment.
Amy heard a faint mumble come from the room. She would have never intruded before, but, now, it could be danger, so she slowly and quietly, praying he was asleep, opened the door.
The Doctors room was scattered and messy. There were thick books everywhere, and Gallifreyan notes on old dirty, yellowing paper. He was sprawled on the bed, his legs at awkward angles. He still hand his normal clothes on, just without the bowtie, jacket, or suspenders.
He mumbled again, this time, louder, more desperate. Amy moved closer to the bed, careful not to knock over any books or trip. He mumbled again, and this time, Amy understood.
"Rose, please. No. Rose..."
Amy stared at the doctor for a moment before he sat straight up in bed, and let out a small scream. He glanced at Amy and waved her off.
"What're you doin here?" he said, rubbing his eyes.
"You sounded upset."
"M fine..." he responded, not looking at her.
"Doctor..?"
"Mmmmmmm?"
"Whos... Whos Rose?"
The Doctor perked up and glanced at her, plastering a fake smile on his face.
"Never miss a beat, Mrs. Amelia, do ya?"
"Doctor, I'm serious. Who is she?"
The doctor sighed and looked at her, with sad, sad eyes.
"Nobody. Goodnight." Flashing her another not so real smile.
"Doctor! Really, she didn't sound like nobody."
"One-One time I went to a planet and there where poison roses, lowercase, all of over and it still haunts me now GO AWAY!" He finsihed, shouting at her. Amy jumped and the Doctor shook his head.
"I'm sorry, just, just go away, please."
Amy never asked about Rose again.
