River just shook her head, refusing to compromise.
"You're turning red, River! please, start breathing! This isn't how to get your way!"
River had done this for as long as Simon could remember. If she wasn't given what she wanted, she did something drastic. she would sit out in the snow or rain, make a scene in public, or even refuse to eat. Sometimes she was just a spoiled brat.
However, she had never, ever held her breath like this before. She was doing serious damage to her brain by depriving it of oxygen. She was going to pass out and probably fall, hit her head on something.
Oh, god! She was turning purple!
