Hyde didn't even look in their direction or stop, he answered, "Gonna open up the record shop early today, have some stuff to do."
"Ok," came the reply from the whole group.
Hyde got in the El Camino and headed to the mall, not Grooves. "Man, I can't believe I'm doing this," he thought aloud as he shut the door and went inside the large shopping complex. Nervous about getting caught and hating himself for giving into "the man", Hyde walked back and forth outide the Jewlery store.
Finally getting up the nerve to go in, he took his time picking out what he was looking for. It had to be perfect. When he found it, he paid for it in full and high-tailed it out of there. He had to run into a men's shop and pick up a new shirt, he'd be in a crap-load of trouble if he didn't. He was already in trouble for the whole Sam thing...
Hours later, he pulled into the parking lot of her apartment complex. Letting out a sigh to get himself ready, Hyde got out of the car and walked up the stairs to her room. Knocking on the door, he felt like he should just leave, but he knew he couldn't.
The door opened and he was greeted by a smiling face. "Hey Jackie."
