It was a cool spring day when Audrey decided to take her brother Johnny on a picnic. The weather was perfect and this was the first time in a long time that Johnny had actually been happy. Since Audrey had been trying to help Dale, her time with Johnny was limited, and she was the only person in the family who actually cares about him and takes time out of her day to spend it with him. Audrey hates how the rest of her family treats Johnny and she wants to make it up to her brother.
Audrey wanted to spend quality time with her boyfriend, the one and only Dale Cooper, so letting him witness a tender and loving moment between her and her brother was perfect. Johnny sat on the blanket Audrey had laid out. He was wearing his headdress and smiling immensely at Audrey and Dale who were cuddled up together across from him. They were feeding each other little, delicate, finger sandwiches and giggling between bites, while looking at Johnny and trying to include him in their little perfect world.
It was great for Johnny to see a truly happy couple, no matter the situation, because God knows little Johnny's parents were never ones to share that same sort of happiness. That must not be where Audrey got her kind and loving sister side from, or on the same note, her thoughtful and lovely girlfriend side.
After all the troubles they have been through, sitting together, eating, and giggling made all the sadness wash away for just a little while. For just a little while, Johnny was just a normal boy spending quality time with his sister and her boyfriend, who was nice to him. For just a little while, they were a happy family.
