Authors Note: I am off school this morning and I had nothing better to do. So I thought I would make a oneshot Lenny story. I've had this idea in my head recently and I hope you like it. I've got the main story being published next Sunday. (The 26th November) so look out. Enjoy! :)
Penny returned home after a long day of work to find Leonard standing right in front of the door. She couldn't even place her bag down before he kissed her. She tried to remember why he was acting all happy. She pulled out her phone and noticed that her calander said it was their anniversary. She threw her phone back into her pocket as her heart was filled with guilt. She had forgotten their anniversary again. This was her worst fear, forgetting important events, and yet she had accomplished it for the third year in a row.
She awkwardly hugged him and tried to think of a last minute solution. She was thinking of different excuses to leave and run to the gas station to get him a card or something. Leonard saw the fear in her eyes. He smiled at her even though he could see she was anxious.
"You forgot again, didn't you?" He asked.
"Urm... No." She choked.
"Hey, it's not the end of the world if you forgot. It's a human tendency to forget things from time to time."
"But I forget every time."
"And that's why I love you." He smiled, giving her a peck on her cheek.
"I love you too." She smiled, putting the few loose strands of hair behind her ear.
The End
I'm sorry it's short. I was going to finish it when I got home from my doctors appointment, but I had to go school.
