Prologue
Fallen leaves crinkled as Cloud crept soundly in the undergrowth.
The rabbit's whiskers twitched as it munched on the grass, completely unaware of the hunter's watching eyes. The emerald orbs followed the rabbit's every move, every breath it took was closer to its last.
As quick as lightning, a flash of white flew at the rabbit and tore at its neck. The rabbit squeaked in terror and sprung up and away from Cloud.
The white cat pounced at its fluffy hide, nimbly killing it with an elegant swipe. She let out a satisfied sigh and padded towards the still warm body, but a massive body hurled towards her and pushed her to the forest floor.
"Mff...what?"she mumbled through a mouth of thick grey fur. The huge body on top of her awkwardly rolled off her and glared. "Stupid rogue! That was my kill, if you made me fail my warrior assignment..."he hissed as he swiped leaves of his smooth pelt.
" you be so rude?"Cloud stared at the green eyes.Almost the same shade as hers,she realised.
The grey cat looked at her with disdain shining in his eyes."Just don't stray near this part of the forest,okay?This is Lakeclan's territory,"He meowed and disappeared into the trees.
