So, RedBelle94 and I have been talking a lot lately about Lily coming back to Casualty. We had a few ideas and this was one of them, so I decided to write a Fanfic about it. Obviously, this probably won't happen, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.
Prologue
"An ambulance is on its way. You're going to be okay."
Lily wanted to believe the stranger, but how could she? She couldn't trust anyone, not anymore. She felt his hand stroke her hair, but the sudden touch caused her to flinch. With a slow turn of the head, she locked eyes with a man who she hadn't seen in a whole year. He no longer had his glasses, but that was the only different thing about him.
"Ethan," the sobbing woman in the doorway spoke next. "It…It isn't what it looks like."
"It's false imprisonment, Leigh-Anne!" Ethan yelled, causing Lily to flinch again. "How long?"
"Not long enough," Leigh-Anne scoffed.
"I don't know what I ever saw in you," he said, sounding close to tears. "You've been keeping her here, you've been seeing me, and you never thought to mention it."
The strong sound of sirens could soon be heard in the distance. Lily clamped her hands over her ears, Ethan went to place a comforting hand on her shoulder but soon stopped, and Leigh-Anne stood frozen to the spot with pure fear. She slowly took a few steps back, before fleeing the house altogether.
Ethan and Lily were left alone.
"Lily. You're okay," Ethan spoke gently. "It's Sam and Iain. You remember them, right? Seeing you here is going to be a huge shock for them and I know you're in shock as well, but we'll get you to the ED and we'll get you checked over. Everything is going to be okay now."
Lily gave a rapid shake of the head and clutched at her chest with her hands, just as Sam and Iain arrived.
"Lily?" Iain stared, open-mouthed at her and immediately rushed to crouch down in front of her.
"I'm going to ring Mrs Beauchamp," Ethan informed him. "She needs to be aware of the situation before we take Lily in."
"Lily?" Iain asked again. "What…what are you doing here? Why aren't you in Hong Kong?"
Lily didn't answer him. Instead, she just stared right through him towards the spot where Sam was stood. Lily didn't understand how she could even do her job when she'd been the one to stand back and allow it all to happen. She still had the dreaded memory plastered in the back of her mind, haunting her every hour of every day.
"Sam! Help me!"
Lily's screams grew louder and louder, as she got dragged away from her home. A cold hand quickly covered her mouth to stop her from letting out any more noise, and small tears stung her eyes. She was terrified. Why wasn't Sam helping her?
"Get away from me!" Lily screamed, pushing Iain and Sam away from her with great force. "Just leave me alone," she cried.
"Lily. We need to get you to the ED," Ethan said gently. "Come on. You're in safe hands."
"No," she continued to sob, her eyes fixated on Sam's guilty face. "I'm not."
I hope you liked the first chapter. The next chapter will be a lot longer, this was just a prologue. Let me know what you think x
