Explaining Santa clause
An. Quick Drabble . This is my first one shot so please don't be too harsh xo

"James have you written a letter to Santa yet?"
"Lils, who's Santa?"
"James you don't know who Santa is?" Lily looks at me Asif she's never seen a ghost before.
I've never heard of this Santa dude and I'm not denying it okay? Right so now I'm looking at lily she looking at me. I think she can tell by my expression that I have no idea who she's on about mainly because I grew up with needle the bard stories and I'm pretty sure Santa has never been mentioned. Wait hold on. Santa is a dude. And why is lily writing to him? Okay this needs sorting out before I die.
"Lily please explain to me who Santa is."
She looks at me for a few seconds before sitting down. She looks me in the eye and says, "Santa Clasue is a rather old man with white hair and a white beard-"
"Like Dumbledore?" I interrupt her.
"No, not like Dumbledore. Any ways he wears a red suit and black boots and he gives good kids Christmas presents where as the bad ones get something they didn't want that much."
"So my parents." I interrupt her again.
"No James shush, any ways he watches them all day and night wherever they are and he knows whether they've been good or bad and makes a list, a good list and a bad list. Every kids name is on it and he checks it every day to make sure it's okay. He has elves that make the toys and reindeers that fly his sleigh. He delivers presents on the night of Christmas Eve and every child gets one on Christmas Day. Santa gives people presents. Every child has to write a letter to him so he knows what they want and leave it under their pillow and he collects them and gets elves to make their toys." She finishes and I stare at her.
"Right so thsi Santa dude is a pedophile that stalks children and goes into people's houses at night like a theif?"
"No James. He's a good man."
"He has a bad list." I point out.
"Because kids need to learn to be good."
"They get bad Christmas presents ."
" yes so they improve their behaviour and the next Christmas they get a good present."
"He's still a pedophile. He watches kids when they sleep."
"OMG James, he's a good man okay?"she shouts and I knew it was time to back down.
"Okay okay whatever."
She smiles at me and the cuddles into my side on the bed before falling asleep. Ughh if only this Santa guy could help me keep her forever.
