Rael Kertia, stood in a dark room, all alone, in the still, quiet, darkening place. Silence. It was too silent for the Keretia Family Leader. The stillness, the darkness; all of those things seemed to make Rajak's death come back to him at his most vulnerable times. It was times like this when his brother's death really struck his heart. He tried to not to feel sad, because Rajak had entered into eternal sleep the way he wanted to, but, it was almost impossible. It was also, at times like this, when he was taken back to memory lane.

The lane he didn't want to go to.

Rael grimaced as memories flashed into his mind, memories of his brother smiling, a rare time, at that. Though, many have pointed out that he can be very handsome when he smiles, his brother's excuse was that he didn't want to get lip lines. A small smile came across the young Family Leader's face at the thought, but it soon faded.

'How could I smile about him, when I lost him?' he wondered, sitting down on the floor and hugging his knees to his chest, his crimson eyes filled with sorrow. "Rajak… if I would've given you my Soul Weapon, would you have lived?" he asked himself, looking up at the ceiling that appeared to be a pit of darkness, sort of like how Rael felt. It was then tears fell down Rael's face as he buried his head in his knees.

He didn't know how long he was sobbing; it could've been hours, minutes, or just a few seconds. All that seemed real to him, was that his brother was gone. The quiet creaking of the door caught him off guard as his head sprung up, to see crimson red eyes staring at the young Noble. Rael's eyes widened as he tried to pull himself together, but the tears kept falling. "Sir Raizel…"

"Rael Kertia," came the simple and soft response as the Noblesse made his way over to the Family Leader. A soft voice the other Noble had, yet it had authority in it. Raizel sat down next to Rael, and it was an awkward silence for the both of them.

Rael didn't know what to do, the Noblesse was sitting next to him in a time of mourning! The young family member was dragged out of his worries when he felt someone pat him on the head. He looked toward Raizel and saw that the Noblesse had his eyes closed, and seemed relaxed as he breathed out a sigh.

While patting his head.

The blonde boy stiffened as he tried to not look at the Noblesse. He could sense that Sir Raizel was trying to comfort him, but it was making things kinda awkward. "Sir Raizle… aren't you tired?" he asked quickly, looking at the dark haired Noble.

"No," he answered blankly, continuing to pat Rael on the head, thinking that the sadness would just erase itself.

Nothing could erase the sadness in his heart; it was like there was a void, that kept wanting to get bigger, and bigger. The thought of being a failure burned Rael up inside, it tore him apart every night, reminding him if he had given his brother Grandia, Rajak would still be alive, and the void wouldn't be there.

It was then, Raizel pulled Rael into an embrace, causing him to stiffen as Raizel was still patting his head. "You're not a failure, Rael Kertia," the Noblesse said softly as the young Noble's eyes widened. "Your brother didn't die because of you."

Rael's eyes widened as he felt tears come down his face. No, nobody could erase the sadness, but, someone would always be there to comfort.

But, for that moment, the Noblesse needed it the most.
