(Shigure Nao's POV)
I watched in fascination as multiple drops of crystal clear liquid fell from the sky, resting my chin in my left hand. "Lui," I shifted my gaze away from the rain for a brief moment to look at the younger boy, who was busy reading some sort of complex manga including two men. I didn't understand his love for those things.
"Hmm?" The book Lui was holding lowered to the point where our gazes mingled for a moment, before his cheeks became tinted with a soft ruby-red color and he looked away.
"Have you ever kissed someone?" I inquired, a strong curiosity badly hidden in my voice. Looking back to the window, I resumed watching the rain fall, as Lui shot up from his previous laying position.
"Well.. uh.. not exactly." Lui tossed his manga to the side and moved to where I was sitting, beginning to nudge me in the ribcage. "Why do you ask?"
"L-Lui that's painful.." I muttered as I pushed his elbow away. "Because I haven't...! I want to know what it's like, and I was hoping-"
Before I could finish what I meant to say, a loud cracking sound split through the quiet room, making Lui squeal and cling for dear life to me. Blinking innocently, I looked down at the shuddering amber-haired boy. "Lui...?"
"What was that, Nao...? I don't like it," Lui murmured into my chest, the soft words just barely heard.
"It's only thunder," I replied softly, curiously running my teal-tipped fingers through Lui's silky hair. At the feeling of something cold soaking into my shirt, I gave a confused look and slid my fingers from Lui's hair, down to his chin, lifting it slightly to see his face.
Lui's soft gold eyes were leaking tears, lips quivering. My lips curved downward to form a frown at this, eyebrows knitted together in concern. "It's okay,"
The younger boy ignored my words and locked his arms around my neck, then hid his face in my shoulder. "Hey,"
"Yeah?" I wrapped my arms around Lui's slender frame and pulled him closer to my chest.
"I love you, Shigure Nao." With that said, Lui used my state of surprise to his advantage and kissed me.
I love you too, Hibiki Lui.
