DISCLAIMER: I do not own Shulk or Xenoblade Chronicles. He is property of Nintendo.

I haven't played Xenoblade Chronicles yet, but I watched some videos of game footage and did research on the game, so I came up with this cute idea for a story.

This story takes place when Shulk is little, while his parents are still alive.

THE ESTATE OF NIBIRU-MUL PRESENTS

I'M WEAWWY FEEWING IT!

OR, HOW SHULK LEARNED HIS GREATEST PICKUP LINE

It was a beautiful, sunny evening in Colony 9. At the home of the Shulk family, little Shulk was crawling on the floor, playing with his bunnit doll. He was wearing his grey boxer briefs and loafers. He was making cutesy noises while he was playing.

Shulk's dad was sitting at the kitchen table, drinking a cup of coffee. He was a tall man with blond hair, blue eyes, and a short beard. He looked down at the floor and saw his two-year-old son crawling around with his bunnit.

"Da-da!" said Shulk.

Shulk's dad waved hi to him. Then Shulk crawled up his dad's leg and sat on his lap. He nuzzled his long blond hair against his father's chest.

"Hello, son," said Shulk's dad.

"Dada pway with Shulk?" said Shulk.

"Okay." said Shulk's dad.

Shulk held up his bunnit and nuzzled it against his father. His dad tickled the bunnit and Shulk giggled.

"Bunnit! Bunnit! Bunnit!" said Shulk.

"That's right," said Shulk's dad. "Bunnit is cute. Bunnit is nice."

Shulk's dad ran his head through his son's hair, and then took another sip of coffee.

Later, it was dinnertime. Shulk's mom had made some vegetable soup for her son.

"Shulky," she said, "open up."

Shulk opened his mouth and ate the vegetable soup. After he finished it up, he burped.

"Yummy," said Shulk. He giggled afterwards.

Since Shulk's parents were having dinner later, they were just hanging out. Shulk's dad was feeling a pain in his foot.

"Honey," he said, "can you massage my feet?"

"Sure," said Shulk's mom.

Shulk's mom walked over to her husband, bent down, and gave him a massage on his feet.

"Ooh...ahh..." said Shulk's dad. "I'm really feeling it. That's good. I'm really feeling it."

Shulk looked at his dad, and suddenly a big grin was on his face.

"I'm weawwy feewing it!" said Shulk.

Shulk's mom turned around.

"I'm weawwy feewing it!" said Shulk. "I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it!" Shulk giggled as he licked the vegetable soup that was splashed around his mouth. He was feeling very, very happy upon hearing a new phrase.

Since Shulk was done with his dinner, Shulk's mom cleaned him up.

"I'm weawwy feewing it!" said Shulk. "I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it!"

"I think Shulk has a new favorite phrase," said Shulk's dad.

Shulk's mom brought little Shulk to his bedroom. Shulk played with his bunnit and his blocks. He was feeling so happy about the new fun phrase. And of course he was giggling.

"I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it!"

Meanwhile, Shulk's parents were having their dinner.

"Honey," said Shulk's dad, "do you think I shouldn't have taught Shulk that phrase? He keeps repeating it over and over again."

"Shulk's just a little boy," said Shulk's mom. "Of course he's going to repeat things over and over again. He only recently learned how to talk, and little kids often latch on to certain words and phrases and repeat them nonstop. He might get bored with it eventually. But at least it's harmless!"

"You're right," said Shulk's dad. "It's all in good fun."

Shulk played in his room for over an hour, giggling and playing.

"I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it!"

Shulk's parents took a peep in his room. They saw him giggling and being silly. He hugged his bunnit and nuzzled it.

"I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it!"

Shulk's mom looked at Shulk and smiled. She opened the door and walked towards her son and picked him up.

"Ma-ma!" said Shulk. "I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it! I'm weawwy feewing it!"

Shulk's parents laughed.

"Shulk," said Shulk's dad. "It's time for bed."

Shulk looked sad.

"I'm weawwy feewing it..." whimpered Shulk.

"You need your sleep," said Shulk's dad. "We'll help you get ready."

Shulk's parents took him to the bathroom. There they brushed his teeth and his hair, washed his hands, and gave him some milk to drink. Shulk's parents then put him in his bed - Shulk's sheets were green and had a flower pattern on it.

"I'm weawwy feewing it!" said Shulk.

"Night-night, Shulk," said Shulk's mom.

"Goodnight, Shulk," said Shulk's dad.

"Night, ma-ma," said Shulk. "Night, da-da. I'm weawwy feewing it..."

Shulk's mom gave him his bunnit. Then she gave him a hug. Then she and her husband left the room.

"Shulk seems happy," said Shulk's mom.

"He does," said Shulk's dad. "And he loves his catchphrase."

Years later, Shulk went to his closet and found a box of his childhood stuff. He saw his old stuffed bunnit and a picture of himself with his parents. Fiora was by his side.

"This is all my old stuff," said Shulk. "My parents were the ones who taught me my favorite catchphrase."

"Which one?" asked Fiora. "Is it 'I'm really feeling it?'"

"Yep," said Shulk. "That's the one." Shulk sighed. "Boy do I miss my parents."

"I know you do," said Shulk.

Shulk thought of a way to cheer him up.

"I'm really feeling it!" said Shulk.

Fiora giggled.

"That always cheers me up," said Shulk.
