Total Drama Intrabet

Disclaimer: Total Drama does not belong to me, nor the characters from the canon show who appear. However, the twenty-six new characters in the story are of my creation. Also, the fic is rated M simply because I want as much freedom in what I can do as possible. It's likely that parts of this fic will be very inappropriate down the road, so be warned.

Note: This is the first time I have ever tried to write a story with a cast entirely of my own characters. I know I have two other stories on this site that I've begun, but it's been tough to figure out how to move them forward. To help warm up my writing motivation again, I've created a new cast in the alphabet season format to see how well I can do this. Total Drama Tweenabet, written by the very talented CragmiteBlaster, has heavily inspired this story. Much credit goes to him for the concept behind this particular season, though Frank15 was the first to conceive the idea of alphabet-themed Total Drama seasons.

Here we go!

With the great success of alphabet-themed seasons from the popular Total Drama program, engineered mainly to prevent audience confusion in identifying contestants, the show's creators couldn't resist reusing the gimmick yet again. However, to put a new spin on things, the producers specifically sought to cast young adults between the ages of 18 and 26 to alter the dynamic between contestants on the show. After all, teens and tweens were fundamentally different in terms of life experience…for the most part. Today, the twenty-six chosen participants have been grouped together and prepared to face the many challenges on Total Drama's newest season…

Their journey begins in the waters of Muskoka, situated on a little island called Wawanakwa. The island has seen a lot of action over the last few years, and it will now see another batch of young contestants that will love, have lost, and perhaps if they're lucky, see boobies themselves.

Several different species thrive here on this particular island.

Standing on the dock by the water's edge stood Chris McLean, who was ready to narrate the intro for the season, which was about to begin filming in a few moments. However, he was situated on the side opposite side of the island from the Dock of Shame, which was for a reason yet to be seen.

Adjusting his shirt and checking his face in the mirror, Chris took a moment to get into character before the cameras started rolling. Flashing a huge smile at the camera, he was prepared to finally start things off.

"Welcome back, everybody! We've brought you back once again to Camp Wawanakwa, the island of dreams. I'm your beloved host, Chris McLean the one and only! And we're about to set another amazing season into motion."

Chris started walking to the other end of the dock, while making sure he was still smiling directly at the camera.

"This season, we've once again searched for twenty-six teens; thirteen young gentlemen, and thirteen exquisite ladies. Each person's name begins with a different letter of the alphabet to help avoid your confusion. They will have to overcome a lot to reach the end, clawing through brutal challenges as well as each other. Another million is up for grabs, and I know that all of these young adults would love to win it for themselves!"

He turned around while facing the camera and flashed another smile.

"Who's it going to be? Unclog your exhaust pipes ladies and gentlemen, because we're about to get started right here, right now, on Total. Drama! INTRABET!

I Wanna Be, I Wanna Be, I Wanna Be Famous…Do do do do do do…

Chris eyed twenty-six boats that were approaching the dock. Each one contained a different contestant, all of whom would be landing to be introduced one by one. A random order had been chosen, and the first vehicle made its way to the host.

Once the first boat had docked, a twenty-year old guy uneasily hobbled onto the boardwalk, sighing in relief once he found his balance again. He wore a lime-green shirt with a denim jacket, along with black skinny jeans and dark blue converse shoes. Due to his brown wavy hair and small necklace with the Star of David around his neck, it seemed reasonable to deduce that he was Jewish.

"What's up, Tovi?" Asked Chris. "Other than the fact that you almost fell off the stationary boat there."

"My apologies, Mr. McLean. I tend to get a little seasick from time to time, that's all." Explained Tovi.

"You know we're on a lake, right?" Laughed Chris. "Oh, and no need for the formalities- you can simply call me Chris."

"Ah, of course Mr…I-I mean Chris." Tovi stuttered. "Forgive me for using improper nomenclature."

"Chill bro, there's no pressure. Not yet anyway." Said Chris. "Think you can do well playing against twenty-five other people?"

"I sure do. Just as long as I don't lose my way, I should have no trouble staying ahead of the curve." Smiled Tovi.

"That's one way to look at things. Now, go ahead and wait over there for the rest of the contestants to show up, if you'd please." Directed Chris.

"Yes sir." Replied Tovi.

As Tovi strolled to the other side of the boardwalk, another boat pulled up to the dock carrying the next contestant. After stopping, off the boat stepped a smiling twenty-year-old girl. She wore a light blue aloha shirt and khaki shorts, along with neon green tennis shoes. Her short brown hair was done in a bob cut, and a small digital camera hung closely around her neck. She looked to be of Hawaiian descent.

"How's it going, Citra?" Asked Chris.

"Aloha, Chris! I feel very privileged to get to visit Wawanakwa Island, so I'm feeling fantastic." Citra beamed. "I'll make sure to get plenty of pictures to remember all the good times I'll have here along the way, and of the local flora and fauna."

"I like your enthusiasm." Said Chris. "Just know that there are some things you won't be allowed to photograph, but I'll be sure to let you know what those are when necessary."

"Much appreciated." Smiled Citra as she walked over to Tovi.

"Hey, you've got a pretty cool camera. I wish I had one like that." Said Tovi.

"Thanks." Replied Citra. "Had it ever since I was ten years old. You wouldn't believe how much hard drive space on my computer is taken up by all the JPEG and PNG files I've stored on there."

"Impressive. Perhaps you'll have a showcase one day?" Asked Tovi.

"I sure hope so. They'll have to invent a bigger computer by then though." Citra pondered, eliciting a chuckle from Tovi.

While the two continued with their conversation, the next boat had shown up and off of it stepped a twenty-two year old male. He wore a beaded deer hide shirt along with beaded buckskin pants, and had what looked like a long ornate walking stick secured along his back. His black hair was done in a ponytail, and he wore weathered leather shoes that had a few holes in them. It was clear that he was Native American.

"Glad to be on the greatest show ever, Kanapi?" Asked Chris.

"That I am, indeed. I am lucky to have made it here." He nodded. "However, you did not say my name in the correct way- you said "canopy", which refers to the highest layer of the trees in the rainforest. The proper spoken pronunciation of my name is kah-nah-pay."

"Oh. Well, don't you worry one bit, dude. This is Total Drama, where we'll refer to you by whatever you'd like to be called…most of the time." Chris assured.

"No worries, it was just to clear up any confusion. I am pleased to have this opportunity, so thank you kindly for choosing me." Kanapi said as he gave Chris a bow.

"Oh, you flatter me, kid. Go join your fellow chosen ones." Chris laughed.

Kanapi strolled over to the other two, who were sharing a laugh over one of Citra's jokes.

"What fills you both with laughter?" Asked Kanapi. "I would like to know."

Both stopped snickering for a moment, and gave their attention to him.

"Oh, hi." Smiled Tovi. "I guess we didn't see you show up just now. She was just telling me about the differences between a lawyer and a catfish. I'm Tovi, by the way."

"Good tidings, Tovi." Greeted Kanapi. "Those who I know call me Kanapi. And what is your name, dear?"

"Citra's the name, nice to meet you. Just know if we become friends, I have to get a quality photo with you, okay?" Said Citra in mock warning.

"You have my word." Kanapi nodded seriously.

Just then, Chris was helping a short twenty-one-year-old female off of the fourth boat. Her outfit consisted of a robin egg blue buttoned shirt and black yoga pants, along with strapped sandals. Her black hair was done into buns on the side of her head, and her white skin seemed to be somewhat pale.

"Hello Ree." Said Chris. "Looking to make this an experience you'll never forget?"

"I would, if only I were here to have fun." Sighed Ree.

"Well, why can't you? You don't know what's going to happen yet." Chris explained.

"That much is true. However, I'm looking at this as merely a business trip, Chris. I simply can't lose sight of why I'm here." Ree explained.

"Well, what's wrong then?" Chris frowned.

"There's too much to be worried about outside of this game than to get lost in this Total Drama world." Said Ree with shifty eyes. "I'm only here because I need the money, that's it."

"Don't be too hard on yourself, kid." Chris sighed, seeing where this was going.

The others didn't know what to say when Ree walked up to them.

"You didn't seem very happy with Chris over there. Did he say something to upset you?" Asked Citra finally.

"No, it's more about what I said to him, really." Ree sighed. "I just explained to him I'm not here because I necessarily came to have a blast."

"Oh. Huh?" Said Tovi, feeling a tad confused by her words.

"Hopefully people like myself will make things easier on you. Most of us mean well, you know." Assured Kanapi.

"Thanks, that helps. Oh, and I'm Ree. I don't really like being given nicknames, so just stick with that please." Explained Ree.

"Hey guys!" Called Chris. "Give it up for our next male competitor, Vern."

As another boat docked, a scrawny twenty-year-old Caucasian guy stepped out and onto the boardwalk; he wore a light brown polo shirt and a pair of dark green cargo shorts. His hair was dirty blond, with cowlick bangs. His eyes were also green.

"Welcome to the island, Vern. How's it going?" Greeted Chris.

"I feel pretty good. I've watched of few seasons of the show so I know what I'll have to do in order to progress in the competition. And since I have some time freed up now in my life, I can focus on being here and not worry about anything going wrong back home. I'm kind of excited to start, really." Stated Vern thoughtfully.

"Think you'll be okay with crushing other peoples' hopes and dreams to further yourself in this game?" Asked Chris with a grin.

"It's a necessary evil, Chris." Shrugged Vern. "I imagine everybody else will know what they were signing up for when they get here."

"Sounds to me like you've got the right mindset for a good strategic player." Smiled Chris. "Now, please go on over there to the end of the dock while the other contestants arrive."

"Fine by me." Said Vern in compliance with Chris' request.

Walking down the dock, Vern briefly observed the four people he noticed that had arrived before him.

"You guys all seem pretty interesting." Noted Vern. "What's your motivation to play this game?"

"Lucrative photo-shooting opportunities." Answered Citra.

"Money." Said Ree.

"I want to have a good time, but money sounds good too I guess." Shrugged Tovi.

"I am here to complete a long spiritual journey." Stated Kanapi. "My placement in this game will not matter to me."

"Whoa, that's intriguing." Chuckled Vern. "I'll agree with Princess Lea here that money would be cool, of course."

"Hey! Don't call me names, I don't like it." Frowned Ree.

"Um, s-sorry." Apologized Vern nervously. "I wasn't making fun of you, I- "

"…It's okay. Just call me Ree from now on, please." Ree requested.

"Tact, Vern". He thought to himself.

"Alright guys, our next chosen contestant is almost complete with graduate school- say hello to Zenith!" Bellowed Chris.

A very tough looking twenty-four-year old Caucasian woman leapt off the boat and onto the boardwalk. She stood just above six feet tall, wearing a black tank top and tight grey boxing pants. Her very short brown hair was spiked up a bit with hair gel, and she wore black shades that covered her eyes. She also had bizarre tattooed symbols along her arms, and wore orange cleats.

"Ready to get down, Zenith?" Asked Chris.

"Hell yes." Zenith grinned. "I'm really looking forward to showing these nobodies who're they're up against."

"Hmm, that's one way of looking at it." Mused Chris. "So, what's your plan?"

"Round up the sheeple I think I can work with into an alliance, where I'm able to have as much control as possible. Anybody with a brain will think twice before messing with me." Explained Zenith.

Chris briefly blanched, but then eased up immediately after.

"Good luck with that, then." Chuckled Chris sarcastically.

"Ha! Won't need it." Scoffed Zenith.

Everybody else looked uneasy as Zenith approached the group, all except for Kanapi who just stood calmly while looking out at the water. Her stature and outward confidence was intimidating them right away.

"H-Hey, those are some lovely shoes." Vern said nervously.

"They were really expensive." Bragged Zenith nonchalantly. "However, you're gonna have to do more than just compliment me to prove you deserve to be in my alliance, bub."

"Um, pardon?" Asked Tovi.

Vern now looked more nervous, and started wringing his hands because of it.

"Okay, listen up everybody. Make yourself worth my time, if you actually care about sticking around. ALL of you. If you don't, I'll just find someone else who does. Just know if you're not with me for the record, you're gonna find yourself on the outs real quick." Warned Zenith.

"Cheeky." Whispered Citra.

"And you are…?" Zenith growled.

"Ah! Oh um, hi you…you real good looking winner, you…!" Began Citra uneasily.

"Our next challenger comes from the Hasting Highlands of Ontario." Announced Chris. "Please welcome Forrest!"

Forrest stood just short of six feet tall. He wore a plaid flannel shirt with several shades of red above a white undershirt, along with tattered jeans and brown working boots. His dirty blond hair was side swept and he had a slight amount of facial hair on his chin. His skin tone indicated that he was born from interracial parents.

"It's lovely to be finally near the water again- I felt so cramped up after having to be inland for so long." Mused Forrest.

"What an interesting thing to say; you know you just came face to face with the most important man in the industry." Deadpanned Chris.

"Ah, it's you Mr. McLean." Noticed Forrest. "Didn't see you there, I was just looking at the beautiful landscape."

"That aside, what's your motive for coming out here big guy?" Asked Chris.

"Let's just say I'm in a sticky situation back home." Sighed Forrest. "I'd really like to fix it the best I can by doing well on this show."

"Do your best, and we'll see." Stated Chris.

Making his way over to the waiting contestants, Forrest noticed some slight commotion.

"Hmm?" He thought.

A taller girl was seemingly harassing another shorter girl amongst the bunch.

"LET GO! That's mine!" Cried Citra as Zenith tugged hard on the camera around her neck.

"Chill out, spaz. I'd like to see what kinds of garbage you've got stored on this thing." Said Zenith, who was wickedly grinning.

Citra tried to push her away, but Zenith swatted her hand aside as she reached forward.

"Stop that." Frowned Kanapi.

"You're being a bully, let go of her!" Yelled Ree.

The only response they got was more malicious laughter from the tall woman.

"HEY!" Bellowed an angry voice.

All of a sudden, Kanapi heard heavy footsteps and felt the walking stick against his back lifted away, and moments later turned his head to watch as Forrest swung it down firmly onto Zenith's shoulder.

"OWWWUH!" Zenith shrieked.

Letting go of Citra and her camera, Zenith turned around to see Forrest standing there, glaring at her while holding the stick in both his hands like a battle staff.

Zenith could only think of a dozen nasty words to say, but instead chose to loudly snarl in rage as she charged forward and tried to wrestle the stick out of Forrest's hands. Both were now digging their feet into the boardwalk as they pushed their weight against each other.

"Uh-oh." Gulped Tovi. "They're definitely gonna kill each other…"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Exclaimed Chris! "…Not even a third of the contestants introduced, and we already have our first fight of the season! Nice!"

"Not cool, Chris!" Exclaimed Vern.

The remaining contestants (most of them anyway) nearby stood by in terror as the two aggressively continued the struggle, snarling in each other's faces. It looked like Forrest was starting to gain the upper hand, until Zenith stamped her foot hard onto his. However, this only brought them back to a stalemate once again.

"Alright, that was entertaining and all, but…um, guys?" Called out Chris.

Eventually, Kanapi felt like he had seen enough, and walked up to both with a grand sigh.

"These angry savages…" He sighed, before grabbing both by their collarbone and forcing them apart from one another. "Enough already. Yield from this pointlessness."

"Out of the way Montezuma! I'm not done mixing him into shortening yet." Zenith warned.

"First of all, what you just said was incredibly racist." Frowned Forrest. "And secondly, you leave that poor girl alone or I might have to intervene again."

"If you so much as hit me with ANYTHING ever again, then I will make this island your grave." Zenith hissed.

The two gave each other a death glare once more.

"No, you will not." Warned Kanapi sternly.

It was clear he was quickly losing his patience.

"And give that back to me. Now." Kanapi ordered, holding out his grasp in front of Forrest.

"…Oh. Right." Forrest chuckled nervously.

He held the stick out for Kanapi, who ripped it out of his hands and placed it back through the loop in the cloth on his back. He made sure to distance himself from both Forrest and Zenith. This left the two to look at each other awkwardly.

"…Sorry." Sighed Forrest.

"Whatever." Said Zenith, who rolled her eyes and walked away.

Forrest cursed at himself under his breath for stirring up trouble. Moments later, Citra walked up behind him.

"Hey, what you did back there…you really shouldn't have." Said Citra.

He turned to face her.

"Oh, no problem. I didn't like how she was- " Forrest began.

"No, really. You shouldn't have made an enemy out of her unnecessarily. It was my own fault for that altercation; I could've dealt with her myself." Citra explained.

"Ah…" Forrest realized.

It stung a little, to hear someone not appreciate his help.

"Although, I do appreciate you wanting to help me." Smiled Citra.

"Crisis averted." Thought Forrest before clearing his throat.

"Well, I'll take your advice then. Sorry…" He apologized.

"Just don't go in there guns blazing next time, dude." Cautioned Tovi.

Chris cleared his throat loudly.

"As entertaining as that was, your little scuffle took up a lot of time so we need to keep moving along here." Insisted Chris.

"Agreed." Said Ree.

"Our next contestant wants to try everything in life at least once; say hello to Wentworth!" Announced Chris.

A slightly pudgy twenty-two year old guy stepped off of his boat, nodding intently at his surroundings. He wore a grey cashmere sweater with a blue and white diamond pattern in the front, and wore corduroy pants that were a slightly darker shad of grey. His blond hair was done in a bowl cut, and on his feet were newly shined, fancy black shoes.

"Welcome to Wawanakwa, Wentworth." Smiled Chris.

"Hello, and a jolly good day to you too sir." Wentworth nodded.

"What made you want to add Total Drama to your long list of things to do?" Asked Chris, sounding flattered.

"There's something extra enticing about being part of something so…exclusive." Pondered Wentworth. "Not everybody gets a chance at this, so I didn't hesitate to apply once I had the chance."

"You were wise for doing so." Smiled Chris. "Hopefully you won't end up regretting your choice."

"…What makes you say that, chap?" Questioned Wentworth suspiciously.

"Oh, nothing. Nothing whatsoever." Smirked Chris.

Confused for a moment, Wentworth shrugged it off and decided to simply join the others.

"Afternoon, lads." Greeted Wentworth.

"S'up man." Responded Vern as he smiled.

"Sounds to me like you're just here for the fun of it." Said Zenith.

"Why yes, that's not too far off, dear." Nodded Wentworth.

"That's a real farce. You're just wasting a spot for someone else that really wanted to play the game." Zenith frowned.

"Ease up." Scolded Tovi. "Some of us don't want to play a cutthroat game, either."

"No worries, friend. I can handle criticism quite well." Assured Wentworth, who simply walked further down the boardwalk.

"Well I can just imagine that there's a Wade, or even a Wendy out there somewhere who'd take things more seriously than this buffoon is." Argued Zenith.

"As long as he can pull his own weight…" Said Forrest as he shrugged.

"Phrasing, buddy." Chuckled Citra.

"So far, so good." Mused Chris. "Our next guy is sure to make splash- please say hello to Benatar!"

A twenty-one year old Japanese fellow made his way off the boat with ease. He wore a dark grey long-sleeved shirt and waterproof khaki pants that covered the entirety of his legs, along with a pair of rain boots. His somewhat long black bangs covered his hazel eyes, and attached to his back was a satchel and fishing rod.

"Ahoy matey!" Said Chris loudly. "Looking to plunder some treasure from old Wawanakwa, son?"

"I'm not a pirate." Benatar stated simply.

"Oh, lighten up Benatar. I'm just having fun here, and so should you. Have any ambitions to chase after while you're here?" Chris questioned.

"Doing well is important. Very important." Said Benatar.

"Um, okay. And why is that?" Asked Chris.

"It can't be too difficult this way." Benatar replied, as he walked away from Chris.

"What does that even mean?" Chris asked in confusion.

Benatar ignored him as he approached everybody else.

"Wonderful hues in that cloth you've got there, chap." Complimented Wentworth.

"I like blue. Hence, it's blue." Replied Benatar.

"…Alright." Said Citra, confused.

"Rude." Chastised Zenith.

"Yo, glass house man." Said Vern.

"Want some of it sticking through your spine?" Growled Zenith, as she menacingly leaned towards him.

"…No thanks…" Vern whimpered.

A couple people, meanwhile, looked curiously at the gear Benatar carried with him.

"What's in the bag?" Asked Tovi out of curiosity.

"Fishing stuff. Mostly bait and line, the basics and few more." Benatar answered.

"Can we see?" Asked Ree incredulously.

"If you can open it." Replied Benatar.

Benatar showed Ree the tackle box from inside of his satchel. It had four different kinds of locks on the outside, including a number code and a lock with a keyhole on it.

"That seems to be rather excessive." Stated Forrest.

"Hiding something important in there, fellow?" Chuckled Wentworth.

"No." Snapped Benatar suddenly.

This spooked those near him.

"…S-Sorry." Stuttered Wentworth.

"We're moving into the double digits now!" Exclaimed Chris. "Our next lovely lady competitor is someone who's right out of the nest and trying to make a name for herself. Please give a warming welcome to Paige!"

As the boat pulled up, a very beautiful eighteen-year old girl stepped off onto the dock. Her wardrobe consisted of a dark green sweater that hung off her shoulders, along with a similarly constructed maroon skirt that hugged her hips tightly, showing a bit of her thighs. In addition, she had on black thigh-high stockings that matched her even blacker zip-up boots. Her very long blonde hair, which ended just below her waist, was carefully swirled into a spiral behind her.

"Paige, you happen to be the youngest contestant of this season. Think it's going to be to your disadvantage, or perhaps the opposite?" Asked Chris.

"I can't be sure of either." Answered Paige. "This is a game where dozens of separate factors play into what happens, so I doubt my age is going to determine how well I do overall."

"I suppose time will tell." Pondered Chris.

"Precisely." Smiled Paige, before she continued walking.

The gazes of the other campers ranged from impressed, to star-struck, to dismissive.

'What's up guys?" Asked Paige cheerily.

"Just chilling here while the others show up." Answered Forrest honestly.

"Hoping to get to know everybody soon." Said Tovi.

"Sounds like fun." Smiled Paige.

"Don't expect us to give you special treatment because you're the youngest." Warned Zenith.

Several people gave Zenith a sour look.

"That's kind of mean. And unprompted." Frowned Benatar.

"I doubt she was expecting any." Added Kanapi.

"It's okay guys, really." Assured Paige. "I may be young but I can handle flak I get from other people."

Doing her best to hold in what she really wanted to say, Paige simply walked by Zenith without showing any outwards signs of being bothered.

"Cool hair." Noted Citra.

"Hey, I appreciate it. What's your name?" Replied Paige.

"It's Citra. Nice to meet you." She smiled.

Paige looked intrigued by the camera around Citra's neck. She held it up gently in front of her own face.

"Is this a 2005 Menville?" Asked Paige.

"You betcha. Its capacity allows for thousands of photographs to be stored before the SD card needs replacement." Explained Citra. "…How'd you know?"

"My boss has one just like it. She lets me use the thing every now and then." Explained Paige.

"My boss gives me a hard time for using mine, actually." Chuckled Citra.

"…You know what? I think I'm going to like you a lot, brah." Giggled Paige.

Chris clapped his hands together.

"Alright everybody, our next male contestant aims to grow as a person while competing on the show." Announced Chris. "Give a jolly greeting to Okoth!"

A twenty-year-old Kenyan boy stood on the next boat, wearing a grey hoodie and long maroon pants. His very short hair and brown eyes went very well with his brown dress shoes. His height was about average, but he seemed to have some muscle to his build. He looked around where he was standing with uncertainty.

"Okoth, can you tell me how it feels to be a part of the biggest prime time show in Canada?" Asked Chris.

"It's a real pleasure, Chris. Yet I can't help feel a bit overwhelmed. Maybe it'll all sink in more after the introductions are finished." Said Okoth.

"Don't worry, it happens to several people who meet me in person." Beamed Chris proudly.

"Yeah…I think you nailed it." Said Okoth uncertainly as he stepped off the boat and onto the dock.

Okoth started walking over to the end of the boardwalk, noticing everyone who had arrived already.

"The chick wearing sunglasses looks pretty intimidating…she could give me problems down the road. Other than that, a lot of people have real funny looking hair." Thought Okoth to himself.

"Hey guys, it's great to be a part of the adventure!" Exclaimed Okoth. "Just promise me we can all get along, okay?"

"Sure." Shrugged Ree.

"It's all conditional." Said Benatar.

"Don't worry chap, I'm sure nobody would be too difficult to get to know. Just be as social as you can." Advised Wentworth.

"What he said." Chimed Tovi.

"You seem like a pretty nice guy. Be careful though dude, some people might try to take advantage of your kindness." Warned Vern.

"…Okay." Muttered Okoth.

"Like her." Said Paige as she jabbed a finger into Zenith's arm.

Zenith merely growled in reply.

"Don't listen to Sweaterstein here pal, because I can lead you to great places in this game." Offered Zenith coyly.

Okoth could only shudder inwardly at her words.

"Enough chit chat, our twelfth castaway is a redhead who wants nothing more than to spend her time with good, well-mannered people. It's Joyce!" Said Chris.

A twenty-year-old redheaded girl wore a beautiful dress stopping around her calves that contained a mixture of cool and warm colors, though was white around the chest area, a belt separating it from the lower half. She had blue eyes, along with straightened long hair that splayed neatly to the side of her shoulders. Her sockless shoes were a nice shade of brown that had with a nice shine to them. She smiled warmly as her gaze scoured the area.

"Greetings Joyce." Welcomed Chris. "You say that you're here just for a good time, but is that really all?"

"I can't lie to you Chris; the money would be great to win. However, I cannot say that I plan to be devious or coldhearted in my pursuit of such a goal. Others may, but I couldn't do it myself." Said Joyce.

"How noble." Nodded Chris. "We'll see how long that plan lasts."

Joyce quickly joined the others, who by and large seemed to get a good vibe from her immediately.

"Wow." Forrest whispered to himself.

"You have a good aura about you." Smiled Kanapi. "Welcome."

"Hey." Smiled Joyce. "I'm super pumped to meet you guys."

"So are we." Nodded Tovi. "Where are you from, Joyce?"

"Colorado, originally." Giggled Joyce. "Right now I live in British Columbia somewhere…but I'll won't reveal any more at the moment."

"No worries. Colorado sounds awesome." Replied Tovi.

"Lucky." Pouted Wentworth.

"You're telling me." Said Forrest in reply.

"Colorado is still cold in the winter." Added Benatar.

Chris shook his head, amused with how things were going so far.

"Rounding out the first half of our competition is someone who's looking for another task he can complete for his master!" Bellowed Chris. "According to his audition he's ready to follow orders, so everyone please order Gavin that he is to have a warm welcome!"

Stepping off the boat was a stout twenty-one-year old dressed in a distinctly upscale outfit. His white suit and black pants were adorned with some stripes of gold, a purple bowtie, and shined black shoes. Also noticeable was his blond hair that was neatly combed and straightened. His expression looked rather neutral, but he raised an eyebrow upon seeing the other people before him.

"Gavin, buddy. Based on what I've heard, this is your first vacation in a long, long time. How does it feel to be on your own for a bit?" Asked Chris.

"I've been given an unusual amount of freedom simply for the sake of competing on this show, Mr. McLean." Answered Gavin. "I won't let Master Hazelrink down."

"Interesting." Noted Chris. "You're not used to interacting with a lot of people, are you?"

"Not in this way, no. However, I do know how to manage several members of a staff so I can certainly handle a group of civilians just the same." Mused Gavin.

"Good luck with that, man." Said Chris.

"Luck doesn't exist; therefore I do not need it." Gavin retorted.

Several other campers took notice of Gavin's rigid posture and his choice of wardrobe as he walked up to meet them.

"Greetings ladies and gentlemen. I am Gavin, personal steward of the great Eugene Marko Hazelrink, my master." He said.

Nobody knew how to respond at first. A few were barely holding back laughter.

"Err…what?" Blurted Wentworth.

"Huh? Then what are you doing here, in a game like this?" Asked Citra.

"My master insisted that I spend time away from the estate, doing something he said would be an 'enriching' experience." Answered Gavin. "I cannot disobey him, so here I stand before you."

"I wonder why he wanted you to do that…" Began Forrest shrewdly.

"Dude, cut him some slack." Urged Vern. "He's probably just a little weird with other people…"

"What are you planning to do, strategically speaking?" Asked Ree.

"I will search carefully for the leaders in this game." Stated Gavin. "Then I'll make myself of use to people that need followers. That is what I am, after all."

"Wow. I don't know if I've ever heard anybody outright admit that about themselves." Said Okoth.

"It's true, and there's no two ways about it." Admitted Gavin.

"Sounds like a pretty bad strategy to me." Said Paige.

"Way to sell yourself out, buddy." Added Forrest.

"You don't have to be so rude to him, man." Frowned Tovi.

"It appears I've been dismissed out of hand…we'll see how long that lasts for." Mused Gavin.

The strategic gears were turning in some people's heads, and one person in particular was thinking deeply as the next boat pulled up to the dock.

Our fourteenth castaway is also here due to somebody recommending she try doing something new; specifically her sisterhood. Give a cheer for Effie!

A brunette woman stepped off of the boat carefully, to avoid getting her clothes wet. She was clothed in the typical postulant outfit, though it was a little tight for her skinny body. Her brunette hair was contained within a small veil, that covered most of the top of her head and she had a golden necklace, with a cross at the end, around her neck. She looked to be about twenty years old.

"Effie. You've left the comfort of your Episcopal abode to participate in perhaps one of the most ruthless and unforgiving competitions ever created. What motivated you to come out here?" Inquired Chris.

"All I can say is, that God has a plan for me and this is where it's led me to." Answered Effie.

"Hmm, cool. I guess it was in His same plan that I have become such a handsome, loveable host." Sighed Chris in content.

"Perhaps it is so. We shall see what becomes of my presence here." Smiled Effie as she walked past him.

The contestants on the dock took note of Effie's outfit, and were equally as confused as to why she'd be on Total Drama as Chris. However, unlike Chris they decided not to bother her about it.

"Good morning everyone, I'm Effie Reynolds. Pleased to meet you all." Said the young postulant as she lowered her head in greeting.

"Likewise." Smiled Citra. "You seem like someone who'll be very nice in the competition."

"I plan to be." Nodded Effie. "I'll admit I haven't done a lot of research, but I can see about trying to figure things out, step by step."

"She could make for a decent ally. But is she too soft to play my kind of game?" Thought Zenith.

"I'm glad that we have someone else here who's sure to play with honesty." Mused Okoth.

"You don't know that yet." Said Benatar. "Although I do get along well with church-going women."

"I agree, their manners are far above most peoples'." Added Gavin.

"She seems like such a sweetheart." Sighed Joyce. "And her jewelry is simply divine!"

"Our next contestant claims to be one of the nicest and most reliable people you'll ever meet; say hello to Meera!" Exclaimed Chris.

With a clumsy leap from off of her boat, a twenty-one year old black girl landed on the dock with a bit of difficulty, balancing herself with her arms to prevent falling down. Her sleeveless high-rise dress was made entirely of indigo denim, and her black hair curled on both sides to form long strands of hair that rested on her shoulders. Her green-blue shoes and golden eyes contrasted against the rest of her appearance quite well.

"Riddle me this, Meera. Do you think it's best to make good friends, make good strategic moves, or both?" Asked Chris.

"That's not a riddle, Chris. Or at least not a very well put together one." Chuckled Meera. "But to answer your question, it is possible to do both an be a perfectly fine human being. Some people simply go to far or can't choose between the two without ruining themselves."

"Hey, I spent all night on that one." Pouted Chris. "Anyways, you seem to know what you're talking about. Are you a big fan of this show?"

"Indeed I am." Smiled Meera. "Though I wouldn't argue that it makes me a standout target amongst this group."

"I suppose it comes down to what they think of you, which is mostly about first impressions and how you act afterwards." Mused Chris.

"Obviously. Welp, here goes nothing!" Said Meera excitedly.

Meera inhaled with confidence.

"As long as I don't say anything stupid." She thought to herself.

"What's going on here, guys? It sure looks like a party!" Smiled Meera.

"Really? I've always wanted to go to a party, mate!" Exclaimed Wentworth, as he tried doing a brief disco move.

"What'd I miss?" Meera asked to further the conversation.

"We had a fight, I recall." Said Vern.

"Be glad you missed it, dear." Added Kanapi.

"A fight? That sounds…rather alarming." Said Effie worriedly.

"I'm sure they won't do it again- that'd make them look even worse." Assured Paige.

"…I see." Muttered Meera, her good spirits having decreased a bit.

"We need to speed this baby up a bit, guys!" Exclaimed Chris. "Joining us sixteenth is a guy that isn't big for the spotlight, but claims he'd like to try pushing his limits anyways. Clap your hands in a circular motion for Yusuf!"

A frail nineteen year old hopped off of his boat quickly upon its arrival. He wore a blue and red silky didashah, with a red scarf-like head cover that hid his curly brown hair. He had brown sandals as well, which exposed his toes on the front. He was clearly of an Arabic ethnicity, and he had dark circles under his eyes.

"Okay Yusuf, now you're prepared to prove your worth in the challenges, is that right?" Inquired Chris.

"…Y-yes, I am…" He shuddered, avoiding eye contact with the host.

"Just know one thing, it won't kill ya." Assured Chris. "I do think, however, that you'll need to be very cautious because of…hey Yusuf, you listening?"

"I know I know I know I KNOW!" Yelled Yusuf, so that the other contestants craned their heads to see what was going on.

"…You okay, buddy?" Asked Chris with genuine worry.

"Yes. Yes, I'm really sorry." Yusuf apologized. "I'm a very prickly person Jeff. Er, Chris."

"…Alright. Like I was saying, think you'll be able to endure the challenges? You said that you came on the show in order to help your team win, so you sure it won't be a problem?" Asked Chris.

Yusuf looked straight ahead, and saw that fifteen pairs of eyes were staring right at him.

"No problem…none." Asserted Yusuf.

"I like that, I do." Nodded Chris. "Don't let me down, bud!"

Yusuf seemingly scampered over to the other contestants, who he was actively trying not to look directly at.

"Everything okay, man?" Asked Okoth. "Chris can be a real dingbat; sorry if he upset you."

"No, it wasn't that…I have a habit of overreacting to what people say to me." Insisted Yusuf.

"That's quite understandable." Noted Gavin.

"You're not alone." Added Ree sympathetically.

Most of the contestants seemed to become very sympathetic towards Yusuf, as they were realizing how fragile he seemed in front of them.

"He isn't going to last." Remarked Zenith with a smirk and shrug.

"Unless he stays away from you." Replied Forrest.

"I guess there's no stopping the arguing…" Groaned Tovi.

"Ah well, I think that kid is going to be just fine." Shrugged Chris. "Moving on now, we have a bright young woman who wants to develop her social skills off of the web. Make some noise for April!"

A nineteen-year-old girl arrived on her boat, wearing an orange and pink plaid blouse, along with tight denim high waters. Her brunette hair was braided into pigtails that hung from the sides of her head, and her freckled face was noticeable, along with her pretty blue eyes.

"Howdy April, are you ready to crush the hopes and dreams of your opponents in order to accomplish yours?" Asked Chris, causing April to wince.

"I'd rather you not word it in that exact way." Said April. "But if you mean to ask am I ready to have a wholesome experience on the island, then yes!"

"I meant what I meant." Defended Chris. "Though I will say that I'm glad to hear it. Now, go feel out your fellow competitors to see if you're right."

April nodded in understanding before walking ahead to join the others.

"Oh my goodness, this isn't going to be at all like talking to my pals GaelicBread%, _FileEdithVieu&D_, or Oregano2319 on miscreantART!" Thought April in terror. "Just smile and don't say anything stupid…"

"Yo April, you look like you have a lot on your mind." Stated Vern. "What's up?"

A single bead of sweat rolled down the back of April's neck, as she thought of what might sound sane enough to qualify as socialization.

"Hey, hi! You all really, um, intrigue me, and I'm looking real forward to, uh, having a blast while we, erm, compete! Yeah…" Rambled April.

Some raised an eyebrow, finding her response a little odd.

"Why that's fantastic, sweetheart!" Complimented Joyce. "We really do appreciate your positive spirit."

April eased up a bit due to the positive reassurance she'd received from Joyce.

"Oh, well…thanks a bundle, mate." Smiled April. "Thank goodness, that redheaded girl made things way less awkward just now."

"Indeed, after all I too am a proud advocate of the positive spirit." Nodded Kanapi.

"Me too, friend!" Chimed Wentworth. "It should be the common standard, no?"

"If only it were so." Sighed Okoth.

"It can be the standard as long as everybody has the capacity to follow." Added Meera.

"Oh, how glad I am you all understand that precious, basic virtue." Sighed Effie in relief.

"Virtue shmirtue." Gagged Chris. "Anyhooter, let's move on and say hello to the a guy who prides himself greatly in his farm-laden outdoorsman skills and work ethic, please wiggle your fingers and give a tickle as we welcome Hayden!"

"Please, never ever use that phrase again." Said Forrest.

A very burly and well-toned man, aged twenty-five and a half, did a flip off of the boat that had carried him to the island. He wore dark blue suspenders over a grey undershirt, and wore very cowboy-like boots with spurs on the back. On his head sat a hat woven from straw in very fine strands, enough to be placed over his very short brown hair. Standing quite tall and incredibly muscular, Hayden adorned a very warm smile upon his face that went together perfectly with his light brown eyes.

"Wow! What an incredible entrance to make, Hayden!" Complimented Chris as he clapped his hands together.

"Why thank you kindly, Mr. McLean." Said Hayden in a deep, rather soothing voice.

"Hayden, you look like you're built ideally for a game such as this one- which will be a game full of physical and mental degradation." Observed Chris. "Of course, I can guarantee that you've never experienced anything like Total Drama before. So, do you think you have what it takes to bring in the green?"

"I don't see why not." Shrugged Hayden.

"And why do you say that, exactly?" Asked Chris to get a more thorough answer from the farmer.

"I understand that most things in life are about the journey, not the destination. This applies to the game too." Explained Hayden. "Now of course, the destination is what we're all after in the end. However, grinning and bearing what comes in the beginning and middle is how you make it to that point. Since on the farm I tackle most of what I do in a similar manner, it shouldn't be hard to approach this game from the same perspective."

"…Huh. That's a pretty nice way of looking at it." Admitted Chris. "The way I see it, you should be in Copenhagen, writing bestselling novels instead of having to fight for one million the hard way. But to have you here, this should be fun too."

"Of course." Smiled Hayden.

Many eyes were on Hayden as he walked over to the others, most in appreciation for his appearance, others due to simply how big he was compared to them.

"Hey everybody, I aim to be a great team player if I'm competing alongside you. Just throwing it out there, because I'm super eager to get into the action!" Announced Hayden excitedly.

"Awesome! You could say the same about me, man." Replied Tovi.

"Wow, he's really something else entirely…maybe I should approach him for an alliance." Thought Paige as her outward smile grew.

"Now, I can tell you will be a hard worker who will inspire others to follow you." Smiled Gavin, clearly impressed.

"Awww shucks pal, I don't know." Chuckled Hayden. "If we're on a team together though, I can help win challenges for sure."

"He can take my picture any dayor even some of himself." Sighed Citra with a goofy smile.

Zenith could only roll her eyes at statements like these.

"At least I'll be thinking clearly." She mused.

"Okay, alright, the fun's over you guys." Laughed Chris. "Coming in next is someone that wants to explore the so called "new world" that is Wawanakwa Island, please welcome Quorin!"

Arriving on the boat stood a fairly stout twenty two year old who was gazing straight ahead at the island. His attire constituted of a white button-up shirt with a red tie, along with grey jeans and a belt, with brown dress shoes. Along with his school uniform-like clothes, Quorin had on a pair of eyeglasses that seemed to double as sunglasses when the sun was bright. He ran a hand through his wavy brown hair as he stepped onto the boardwalk.

"Hello Quorin, glad to have you here." Greeted Chris. "Although I must ask, why dress so formally for something like Total Drama?"

"It's not truly a matter of what you wear, Chris. Sure, appearances can have an impact on someone's first impression of you, but that seldom matters once you're past the game's first stages." Explained Quorin.

"Wow, that's pretty wise of you. It will probably manage to escape hundreds if not thousands of viewers in a few hours, but I think I can appreciate your views." Replied Chris.

"Hmm, well. It's time to take on this…new world." Said Quorin.

Quorin walked up to the large group before him, scanning them all with his blue eyes to size them up.

"You're all so different from each other, yet united here for a similar reason." Mused Quorin.

"That's quite the obvious." Noted Benatar.

"Why's your shirt tucked in?" Asked Zenith rudely.

"…Probably because he goes to school, right?" Guessed Yusuf.

"That much is true." Nodded Quorin. "I'm not entirely done with it, but I like to look my best."

"You've got some great ideals, partner." Said Hayden. "Just know it'll probably get dirty real quick out here."

"Figuratively and literally." Added April.

"I understand." Stated Quorin.

"Contestant twenty should do any Goth in Canada proud, it's Desiree!" Announced Chris theatrically.

The twenty-two year old woman standing on the boat before everyone was perhaps the tallest person yet. Standing a bit above six feet, she wore a dark purple hoodie and tight black jeans that stopped right above her dark blue converse shoes. Her ears were pierced; she had her fingernails painted black, and her black hair contained a few purple highlights. The look on her face was as stoic and unreadable as any face could be.

"There are many women jealous of you right now Desiree. Getting the chance of a lifetime, it must be a great honor." Beamed Chris.

"….…What do you mean?" Asked Desiree in a monotone voice.

Chris looked extremely offended. He scowled and furrowed his brows in utter frustration.

"I compliment you, and the first thing you do is spit in my eye?!" Cried Chris. "How dare you…"

"…No, really…I don't know what you mean." Desiree repeated.

"Huh?" Asked Chris, before he came to a realization. "Oh! I was just saying that my handsome self is only able to be seen up close by few chosen to participate."

"…Ah. I gotcha. That's right…you're rather good to look at." Said Desiree, still showing no emotion or shift in tone whatsoever.

"See everyone? This young lady knows what's going on. Good day to you, Desiree." Complimented Chris.

Walking over to join the others, something about Desiree seemed to catch the attention of everybody before her…or rather, two things.

"Are those E's?" Whispered Paige, albeit a little too loudly.

"Oh my…I'd like to try those at least once." Whispered Wentworth, albeit much more quietly.

Citra raised her camera in front of her, only to have Gavin lower it with his hand and shake his head at her.

"Now is not the time to be so crude, ma'am." He sternly warned.

Indeed, Desiree had drawn everybody's attention due to her frontal features, males and female alike. She kept quiet as she joined the crowd, stopping randomly within to stand still, looking straight ahead.

"…Hi…" She greeted, raising her palm but looking nobody in the eye.

Yusuf cowered in fear, running between people and now hid behind Hayden.

"S-she's scary…" Yusuf chattered.

The twenty-first boat boat almost went ignored as it arrived by the dock, had it not been for Chris.

"Alright guys, I need your undivided attention for one moment!" Chris bellowed. "The next member of our new 'family' is somebody willing to always tell it like it is. Meet Sawyer!"

A twenty-two year old girl stood on the dock wearing an orange cotton shirt and magenta leather chaps with frills along one crease on each leg, along with heavy-duty brown boots. Her long black hair fell to one side of her head, covering one of her purple eyes. One other noticeable fact was that she was Indian.

"Sawyer, you've come a long way just to play this game and have a shot at the money, so what are you thinking right about now?" Asked Chris.

"I'm thinking that some people won't be able to handle this competition at all…which is a great thing for me." Guessed Sawyer.

"Seems like you think you're at an advantage. Any reason why?" Interrogated Chris further.

"Too many people are going to be discouraged and unable to face situations presented before them." Explained Sawyer. "Unlike them, I'll have the wits and sheer determination to overcome it."

"A bold claim, but we'll see if you're right." Nodded Chris.

Sawyer scanned the others quickly, trying to see if anybody was a likely early boot.

"I can spot at least three people that won't outrank me…" Sawyer mused. "I bet they'll be leaving in tears, too…"

"Hey girl, how's it going?" Asked Meera delightfully.

"I'm a bit nervous, but otherwise I'm rather optimistic." Smiled Sawyer.

"Chris said you'd tell things like they are. Is that true?" Asked Forrest.

"Correct. I'm not afraid to be a little blunt, but it's not without reason." Sawyer shrugged.

"You're not really harsh and rude though, right?" Asked Yusuf worriedly.

"He's right, yeah. That'd be a blemish on anyone's record." April agreed.

"I've never met someone who said so." Sawyer pondered. "Trust me, I'm quite fair."

"We're now at contestant twenty-two, which on paper is two-two. So go to the lockers and wear a tutu, too!" Rambled Chris. "This next fellow is trying to escape the life of suburbia, or something like maybe general urbia, so roll out a blanket by the fire and read a nice bedtime story along with Ianto!"

"That intro was even weirder than the other bad one." Gagged Vern.

Another twenty-two year old stepped off of their boat, this time a male. He wore a short-sleeved olive t-shirt, along with plaid blue and white shorts and grey loafers on his feet. He wore a headband to keep his long, wavy red hair behind his ears, allowing everyone to see that he had a warm smile on his face.

"Yo, Ianto." Said Chris. "I hope you're ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Get the feeling you signed up for something that'll be enjoyable and rewarding?"

"No doubt about it, dude man." Said Ianto enthusiastically. "I tend to hardly make decisions I regret, so I'm certain that coming here is what I was meant to do."

"It's always nice to know someone feels so compelled to come on the show." Smile Chris. "So Ianto, which aspect of the game do you predict you'll be best at…physical, social, or mental?"

"I don't believe I have a distinct advantage in any area." Shrugged Ianto. "If anything, it'll be physically tough but probably okay difficulty-wise in the other areas."

"It almost feels like you were dodging the question, but you do make a good point." Stated Chris.

Ianto shrugged before he strolled casually to where the others were standing.

"Hey y'all, you guys having some fun under the sun?" Asked Ianto.

"It's rather cloudy right now, actually." Corrected Benatar.

"What he probably means is we can't be sure. There isn't a lot to go off of yet, understandably." Explained Quorin.

"There are actual literal clouds in the sky." Insisted Benatar.

"Perhaps He is sparing us from using our limited sunscreen today." Guessed Effie.

"Cloudy days make me feel a lot worse than usual." Sighed Yusuf.

"I have to agree with you, they're a tad bleh." Added April.

"I don't know what you two mean, rain is fantastic." Countered Wentworth.

"…Ditto." Agreed Desiree.

Ianto only chuckled at the amount of conversation that had sprung from his simple question.

"They're all going to grow up to become philosophers, aren't they?" Laughed Ianto.

"I wouldn't be surprised if that were so, partner." Chuckled Hayden in reply.

"The next woman in our official cast is known to be a shining star of her kind, and aims to be both that and more. Say hello to Utara!" Said Chris.

On the boat was a nineteen-year-old Norwegian woman who was, needless to say, rather gorgeous. She wore a grey tank top that exposed her midriff, black and blue striped corduroy pants made of nylon, and seemingly designer shoes. Her long blonde hair was dressed in dreadlocks, and her blue eyes stood out very well against her light makeup and white skin. Tattoos ran up and down her arms and neck, and she had several piercings all over.

"Utara, can you tell me what it is that you do in life?" Asked Chris.

"I'm a model, rather simply." Stated Utara. "My specialty is that I get to be in photo-shoots in more arctic regions, since the cold doesn't bother me much at all."

"Wow, that's pretty sick." Said Chris. "So, you can basically model anywhere in the world and you're unaffected?"

"Quite nearly." Confirmed Utara with a smile. "That said, I needed a break from standing in one place for a living, so I figured trying this game out would be a nice change of pace."

"Time will tell if you made the right choice." Noted Chris.

Utara quickly joined the others, most of whom stole looks at her whenever they could.

"So you're a model? Have you ever been outdoors doing active stuff before?" Asked Sawyer.

"Indeed I am." Said Utara. "And while I'm no athlete, my physical fitness is above average. And if it helps my case, most of my photo-shoots take place outdoors."

"Alright, that makes sense." Decided Sawyer. "Though to be brutally honest with you, this could be a lot more difficult than you were expecting."

Utara felt offended by this blatant warning, but only smiled.

"I'll prove any doubters wrong." Said Utara calmly. "Now, what was your name, sweetheart?"

"It's Sawyer. I'll be keeping it real around here, ya dig?" Said Sawyer.

"That comment clearly rubbed her the wrong way." Muttered Meera.

"I've never met a model, but my master says he's…encountered a few of them previously." Said Gavin.

"I guess today's your lucky day then." Smiled Utara.

"Do you think we could have a photo-shoot, or something?" Asked Citra enthusiastically. "I have a camera, you have yourself…and…well, you know what tends to happen when both are present."

The people around Citra started giggling.

"Ooh, my kryptonite!" Said Utara in amusement. "Maybe later, but it's definitely on the table if you're serious."

"We're almost there, folks!" Sang Chris. "Another lovely lady of ours ties with another for being the oldest female in the cast. She's proudly white collar and willing to play hard, say hello to Lana!"

A twenty-four-year old girl was standing on approaching boat, and she seemed to be carefully analyzing the people standing in front of her. She wore a black dress with a white blouse on above, along with black leggings and black high heels. Her long black hair flowed freely and the eyeglasses she wore only slightly hid her light brown eyes. Se looked to be of Chinese descent.

"Howdy Lana! So, you seem to have big plans. Care to let me in on them?" Greeted Chris.

"Now why on Earth would I go and do that?" Asked Lana. "I'm a businesswoman; I can't just go telling you everything ahead of time, or else nothing will unfold the way it is supposed to."

"An understandable point there, but still a disappointing answer nonetheless." Pouted Chris before he shrugged. "Oh well. Plan to use a business-like approach to then game, then?"

"Maybe." Answered Lana. "I'm going to get a good sense of who these guys are first, though."

Lana was quick to join her fellow competitors, and shot quick glances at each person.

"They'll all be unpredictable for sure, but I'll certainly control a few to reduce the uncertainties…" Lana thought to herself, before speaking up.

"Hello everybody, it's a pleasure to be on the island. I'd like to get to know each and every one of you…personally." Said Lana, making sure to exaggerate the sway in her hips a little.

"…That sounds wonderful." Stated Tovi.

"Really, dude?" Said Okoth. "It's so obvious what she's doing."

"Wow, amazing…" Sighed Forrest in amazement.

"Her game is strong." Noted Ianto. "But I can see right through it."

Sawyer, Paige, and Ree simply gave Lana disapproving looks behind her back.

"Our last male competitor and self-proclaimed 'social expert' is going to make sure he shakes you to your core, so stomp your feet and shout for Niko!" Bellowed Chris.

A shorter twenty-year-old Latino male stood on his boat; he eagerly waited for the moment he would step upon the dock. He was wearing a purple tiger skin-patterned shirt under a black leather jacket, along with dark orange denim jeans and black tennis shoes. He had a touch of hair gel in his hair that gave it a little spike, and his hazel eyes looked full of energy.

"Yo yo Niko!" Greeted Chris as Niko leaped off the boat.

"Chris, my friend!" Exclaimed Niko. "Finally, after so long of me trying to get here, I finally made it!"

"Oh yes Niko my bro, you deserve it. Now, you look super eager, so tell me…what are you going to do first?"

The young male was so full of energy; he had to let out a cry of excitement before answering.

"Bro, I'm totally going to bring everyone under my wing! I'll pitch to the folks there the chance to join me, so that I can march forth with them through the game!" Explained Niko without stopping for a breath.

"Whoa, you sure have mapped out your plans." Nodded Chris. "Good luck with that, buddy."

"Alright, thanks a bunch Holmes!" Exclaimed Niko as he quickly made his way down the dock.

The campers weren't sure what to make of Niko, but before anybody could converse with him, he jumped up and perched himself on one of the posts lining the boardwalk.

"Hey everyone up in here! Can I have your attention, por favor?" Exclaimed Niko, as everybody directed his or her gaze his way.

"What in the name of sweet Bongo Bongo is this fool about to do?" Thought Forrest.

"Yo, people of the Drama, this game is all about groups and staying together, but there's also a lot of dirt and stuff, man! Things that aren't cool, and people want to cut each other apart and stuff, amigo! I however say, if I had it my way, that things would be super chilling cool, so I'm just putting this out there, but I'm starting an alliance today so that we can make things happen! Come to me for details, brother!" Rambled Niko breathlessly, before jumping down from his perch.

Everybody took a moment to process this speech.

"…Welp, there's one less person I will be taking seriously." Said Lana.

"So he wants to compete for alliance members, does he?" Mused Zenith.

"That hurt my ears." Stated Desiree tonelessly.

"That was a fantastic speech, sweetie." Complimented Joyce. "Did you just come up with that on the fly?"

"Indeed, I know how to touch the hearts of the masses." Nodded Niko proudly. "The only thing missing is rousing applause, but I've just met everyone here, so I don't expect them to put out immediately."

"Sorry to burst your bubble pal, but- " Began Sawyer.

Joyce immediately elbowed her in the back, cutting her off.

"Don't you even dare try to ruin this moment for him." Hissed Joyce in her ear.

"Calm down, I was just going to say that he wasn't speaking to everyone." Lied Sawyer suavely.

"Oh dang, I'm going to have to repeat that whole thing for the other guy." Sighed Niko, having heard her.

"And finally, the last member of our cast joins us with pride. She is ruthless and ready to do what she can to preserve her honor and win, and she learned English specifically so she could come and be a part of this show. Give a rousing 'Buenos Dias' to Xipil!" Announced Chris.

A tall twenty-year-old woman stood with her back straight while on her boat, hands in pockets. She wore baggy grey polyester athletic pants and had on a rugged sleeveless black shirt and orange headband, along with military-like boots. Her short black hair and orange eyes were both noticeable as well. She looked to be Ecuadorian.

"Xipil, if what you were looking for was an intense, action packed journey with an awesome reward at the end, then you've come to the right place!" Exclaimed Chris.

"I know; I have greatly awaited this day." Noted Xipil seriously.

"So tell me, what is your plan to make it to the end?" Asked Chris.

"I'll tell you, it is to fight and fight hard. I want to make myself and family proud." Answered Xipil.

"Good, good. I like that. Now, go and meet your competition." Said Chris.

Xipil nodded and walked with determination in her stride to the other end of the dock.

"Greetings you people, my name is Xipil." She said as she bowed before them. "I have come here because I aim to prove my capabilities. Now, are all of you going to play fair?"

"The definition of 'fair' is quite loose in this game, but sure, I will." Nodded Tovi.

"I'm with him on that one." Agreed Vern.

"You'd better, or else she'll chop you up." Joked Utara.

"Where are you from?" Asked Effie.

"Ecuador, and I will not go back there empty-handed." Assured Xipil.

"Cool, I've always wanted to go there." Stated Paige.

"Indeed, I have too. It's an entirely different world than what we know." Mused Quorin.

"Eh, we have running water." Shrugged Xipil.

At that moment, Niko walked up to Xipil.

"Yo! This game is all about- " He began.

"NO!" Cried Lana as her hand landed over his mouth. "I am NOT hearing that shtick again, so put it away!"

"Once was enough." Agreed Ree.

"I kind of enjoyed it." Shrugged Ianto. "But she sorta has a point, too."

"Y-yeah! Everybody knows it." Said April.

Chris walked over to the crowd and clapped loudly, so that everybody would be giving him their attention.

"Alright, and with that everybody is finally here! The game will begin very shortly, so follow me everyone." Said Chris with excitement. "Hopefully you've gotten to know some of your competition by now, because the game is ON! I'll explain how things are going to work this time around, so you'd better pay close attention."

"It won't be too complicated, right?" Asked Yusuf.

"That's for you to decide." Said Chris as he led everybody down the shore a bit.

After a walk that lasted around five minutes, the twenty-six contestants had ben led by Chris to a small piece of land just off the shore of the main island. Here, a moderately sized pavilion was set out on the water, seemingly large enough to host an event such as a beach party. Inside this pavilion was what looked like a bar where alcohol was served, only there was none of the stuff here. There were a few dozen of seats all around the pavilion, though everybody convened in the bar area as Chris had led them there. Some decided to sit, but others stood as they were either too excited or simply chose not to. Chris walked behind the bar, poured himself a small glass of water, drank it, and then clapped his hands once again so he could speak to everybody.

"Welcome to Total Drama Intrabet, everybody! Now, before we get truly started, I've brought you guys here to discuss some of the rules and how this season is going to work. Now, as you all know the prize is one million dollars, an amount most people would die, some even kill for. There will be a challenge and subsequent elimination every day, although some of them will last longer than a day in which case the elimination will occur at the end of the day on which it ends. The winning team or teams will be immune and safe from the vote, but the losers of every challenge will be brought to where we are now…to the Bar of Reproach."

"Speaking of teams, are you about to divide us up into groups?" Asked Quorin.

"I'm actually not going to do that just yet Quorin, and I'll explain why." Explained Chris. "See, this season there will be no specific team configuration…because every episode they will be rearranged!"

Everybody gasped at the revelation, not having expected something like this.

"How is that going to work, exactly?" Asked Zenith, eager to learn more as Chris began again.

"See, every episode the teams will be randomly chosen by name drawing. If you're lucky, you will be on a team with people you like or know, but more often than not you may end up with someone new. It's a given that you'll be forming alliances during this time, yet you'll also need to be careful about who you make enemies with- they could decide your fate if your name is being thrown around that particular day."

"I suppose I can work with something like that." Nodded Hayden.

"Wait a minute, then wouldn't that mean you could vote out someone strong early on and it wouldn't necessarily matter?" Asked Okoth.

"If that's the strategy you decide to use going into the game, then it could very well work." Surmised Chris.

"I just hope I'm not stuck on a team with Niko." Frowned Lana.

"Hey! What'd I do?" Frowned Niko.

"It's not up to me, remember? Random drawing is how it's going to happen." Reminded Chris.

"Was there another twist of some kind?" Asked April curiously.

"Right, there was!" Exclaimed Chris. "The next thing you must take into account is that there are multiple idols this season. I'll explain each idol's effects in general, and how they work."

"Idols? What if we are not religious?" Asked Kanapi.

"Not that kind of idol." Corrected Gavin. "Listen closely."

"Each is based on a camper from season six, whom I am sure each of you recognizes. Have a look, in fact!" Proclaimed Chris as he pulled a cloth off of some objects.

The campers ooh'd and ah'd at the idols, of which there were fifteen. There was an idol for each of the following people: Beardo, Leonard, Amy, Sammy, Rodney, Ella, Topher, Dave, Scarlett, Max, Jasmine, Sugar, Sky, Shawn, Chef Hatchet, and Chris himself.

"These are the fifteen idols available for you guys to use over the course of the season. Each has its own unique effect, and can be used typically in any elimination ceremony. Some, however, are used outside of the elimination setting. Once you use an idol, it will be out of play and you cannot use it ever again."

"Can you tell us what each one does?" Asked Wentworth. "Otherwise we won't be able to know how to use them."

"I knew someone would ask, and fortunately for you I am more than happy to tell. The Beardo Idol will stop one person of your choice from voting at an elimination ceremony. The Leonard Idol will give any opposing team a disadvantage in one of the challenges; use it wisely. Both the Amy and Sammy Idols have the same effect- use it and all votes against you will be cancelled, but you will be faced with a heavy penalty at the next challenge. The Rodney Idol will cancel half the idols cast in a ceremony, and those votes will randomly count against other people. The Ella Idol will allow you to choose three votes to negate, but without seeing whom they're for. The Topher Idol will allow you to gain information on the next challenge, before anybody else knows. The Dave Idol lets you cancel two votes against anybody, including yourself. The Scarlett Idol allows you the ability to view the voting confessionals of everybody else at a ceremony before casting your vote last. The Max Idol gives you the power to view the voting confessionals AFTER someone has been eliminated at a ceremony. The Jasmine Idol gives you an advantage in one challenge, any of your choice. The Sugar Idol acts as a free pass, letting you sit out of a challenge, but making yourself unable to cast a vote at the following ceremony. The Sky Idol allows you a head start in any challenge, team or yourself. The Shawn Idol will give one player's vote the ability to count as three, which could be very powerful. The Chef Idol makes it so you can copy the effect of any idol that has ALREADY been used, so that too could be a real game changer. And finally, the Chris Idol, me, allows all votes cast against one player to be cancelled, with no penalty or cost attached."

The contestants were given a few moments to think about what they'd been told. There was no doubt in their minds that these idols would make the game very unpredictable. Everybody also had no doubt in their minds that they needed to get their hands on those idols.

"With that all being said, it's time for you guys to begin your day. Don't worry though; today there will be no elimination. All of you will be here for the first night." Explained Chris.

"I thought you said there was a challenge every day." Recalled Citra. "So with that being the case, what are we doing today?"

"There isn't necessarily a challenge today per se, but you do need to walk your way onto the other side of the island by sundown. It'll serve as a way for you to get to know some people and such before the first real challenge, and a sort-of tour of the island, depending on how you choose to get to camp." Explained Chris.

"Nice, that actually sounds like it'd be pretty useful." Said Zenith, before adding. "Getting to see the island and all its features…"

"What if we get lost?" Asked Ree worriedly. "Will we have to sleep outside in the dark?"

"Don't worry, the camp, AKA your destination, is on the opposite side of the island from us, being north of here. As long as you keep heading in the general direction you're supposed to, you'll be fine." Said Chris.

"I hate to be the one to ask, but can we just get this thing started already?" Asked Paige impatiently. "I know you were getting there, but still…"

"Ask no more, Paige. The only thing I ask, however, is that you rascals go check something out real quick. Follow me, I'll show you." Explained Chris as he got up and motioned for everybody to follow him.

Chris led the group outside to a small wooden structure that stood near the entrance to the pavilion area. Several contestants recognized what it was almost immediately.

"The timeless confessional." Stated Chris. "Before you guys embark on your trek across the island, I'd like you to, if you'd like, leave a quick confessional to let us know what you're thinking at this point. And if you ask me, the more of you try it the better."

(Confessional: Twenty-six new asses. All will soon be sore.)

Zenith: I'm absolutely going to set myself up for success in whatever ways I can these first few days. Though I may have made a bad first impression with some of the people at the very start, I know that I can be a lot more suave than that. First things first, I need allies. And to begin, I'm going to see if I can pull that butler aside. It seems to me like he really wants someone to tell him what to do, and I'd be more than happy to fill that void.

Okoth: I won't lie; things have gotten a little intimidating already. I know I'm not always good with people, but I need to learn to…assert myself. That being said, I am comforted by the fact that other people will likely be easier targets. The hardest part will be breaking the ice with people I need to talk to in order for that to happen.

Citra: Oh boy, I can see it already! I want my album to be perfect, so sticking around is paramount if I want to collect take those photos I want to. As for the game itself, I'm ready to let others do what they want as long as they keep me safe, buy me time. You know? This should be a doozy.

Wentworth: Egads, I don't really hike. No matter though, because my plan is to be open-minded and let people get drawn to my positive spirit. That way, I can enjoy everything else without the stress! The audience will surely root for me if I do that.

Joyce: Nice. I'm really glad that people have already warmed up to me, because at heart I am a very sweet girl. (She clears her throat) However, unbeknownst to everyone else, I really, really love it when drama's unfolding everywhere around me. Hence, I'll make sure everything isn't hunky-dory twenty-four seven once I get the chance.

Hayden: I haven't spotted any bad eggs amongst this group, or at least not yet. My plan isn't too complicated, since it's basically "be decent to everyone". That way, people will feel good about working alongside me.

April: I feel like I'm on Mars, because like that Quorin fellow said before, this is an entirely new world! I'm not used to being outside, with fresh air, and real people, and…and…ugh, I really need to calm down.

Kanapi: I cannot express more my gratitude for this gift. If anything, I need to ensure that I make friends, because more friends will equal more happiness.

Desiree: …I'm hungry…

Vern: Okay audience, so it's funny story time. See, I was going to university to try and learn…didn't work out too well. I'm still pretty smart so I can totally do this, but it was kind of a "last resort" sort of thing. Let's just hope I have all my limbs by the time this gig is over…

Paige: Oh, booyah BABY! I can't put into words the level of excitement that's been filling me up from the very second I stepped foot onto that dock, leading up to now! All I know is that I should see if that farmer dude wants an alliance. From there, everything else will surely fall into place.

Niko: Maybe I didn't sell my pitch hard enough from earlier? Nobody has even come to me yet, so I'll need to make sure I'm heard a little better next time. Or! I can pop the question a bit later, that way I will earn peoples' trust and everything beforehand. Yeah, there we go.

Quorin: …Interesting. Just so everybody is aware, I have a condition known as Hyperthymesia, allowing me to remember every single detail of my entire life, for every moment that's occurred in the past twenty-two years on this Earth. Included in that is every conversation I was able to witness as soon as I arrived here. I imagine this gives me a huge advantage, because I will never forget a word of what I hear. Ever.

Once the confessional givers had finished, Chris began handing everybody a small pack for them to strap around their waist.

"Inside these are water bottles and some snacks for the walk, since it is not by any means a short one. That said, I will reiterate that you should reach camp by sundown, so I wouldn't worry if I were you." Explained Chris.

"And if we don't?" Asked Sawyer.

"Then the interns will be sent to find you." Assured Chris. "Now, off with you all!"

With that sendoff, the contestants all dispersed into smaller group and began heading off into the distance, so that they would be able to reach camp quickly.
