Angel
6 days. 6 days since Toshiro was attacked by his greatest enemy yet. He fought with all his strength, but it wasn't enough. His injuries were severe, yet unknown if he's still alive, or dead. 6 days. 6 days since his eyes closed and never opened from then.
He was put in a bed, still as ever. His love, Rangiku, was kneeling next to him, grasping his hand and hasn't let go of it since he was found. She put his hand to her face, and she kissed it as if it would wake him up, but nothing worked. She prayed and whispered as if he heard her, but all she could do was to wait. She waited for the moment when his eyes finally opened. When, his eyes opened, not if. There was a knock on the door. It slid opened, and there stood her friends. One of them opened their mouth to speak.
"I'm sorry, but he isn't going to wake up. Move on with life, you can't sit there forever."
"No!" She almost yelled. "He is going to wake just don't know what it's like not knowing if the only person you loved, and always will love will ever open their eyes again." Water started flowing out of her eyes. Her friends looked at her as if wanted to comfort her, but turned around, shut the door, and gave her some privacy. Water flowed down her face, but as soon as she almost lost hope, she heard breathing. She looked up and saw his chest rising, then falling, then rising, then falling. Her eyes were wide open, and even more tears came out of her eyes, not knowing if they were sad tears, or happy tears. She grasped his still lifeless hand harder, and her tears dropped one by one on his hand which made it glimmer like an angel's skin.
"An angel?" She thought. "Way too cliché for my blood."
But one thing was for certain
He was definitely hers.
