Trying to find his glasses. Harry sat up on his four-poster bed. Hearing his stomach growl, he realized that he should have ate the sandwich Kreacher had made for him earlier. He felt like he had been asleep for months and could sleep a bit longer. He got up and walked to the Great Hall to get some food.
He noticed the silence for the first time ever as he walked into the Great Hall. A heart-wrenching battle had just taken place against the darkest wizard ever, Voldemort.
If I had surrendered earlier none of this would have happened! Harry thought remorsefully.
As he walked past all the dead bodies, faces filled up his mind, faces of close friends he would never see and talk to ever again. Lupin. Tonks. Fred. Dobby. Hedwig. Faces that he did not even know.
As he opened the doors to the Great Hall he noticed the Weasley's sitting at a table all the way in the back of the Great Hall. He did not want to face them. It was his fault that Fred Weasley was gone. Fred would never ever crack another joke with his twin brother George again. Harry looked at George, who looked like they had been crying for days, which he probably had. Harry walked over to them.
"Harry how are you feeling?" Hermione whispered.
" I'm fine," He lied rubbing his hand over the scar.
"Not still hurting is it?" Hermione asked
"No, not at all," Harry assured her.
Harry looked at all the Weasley's. Bill. Charlie. Percy. Ginny. Ron. Mrs. Weasley. Mrs. Weasley embraced in a hug with her husband.
"Harry," She said finally noticing his arrival to the group.
" I'm sorry," He began.
"No, it is not your fault. We knew the attackers were coming in. You did great!"
If I did such a good job why do I feel so bad, he thought.
'Harry, come home with us for the summer. You know I will not take no for an answer!"
Home. He had not thought about. He did not think about leaving Hogwarts.
"I reckon I'll go to Grimmauld Place. "Harry said
"You cannot mean you want to be alone!" Ron spoke up.
"No, I don't I can," Harry said
"You will come home with us then," said
"Yes, thank you," Harry said.
Harry got up and went to find Hagrid.
"I can't believe it. You did it! You defeated You-Know-Who!" Hagrid exclaimed
" I'm sorry for pretending to be dead," Harry said.
"You did what you had to do and that is what matters," Hagrid said.
" I will be spending the summer with the Weasley's I suppose," Harry said
" Better then your ruddy aunt and uncle!" Hagrid said
Harry laughed. It felt great to laugh. Broke the tension.
"Bye, Hagrid," Harry said.
"Bye, Harry," Hagrid said.
Harry walked back to the Weasley's who were about to leave. Bill and Charlie were helping George stand up and walk. Mrs. Weasley was holding on to Mr. Weasley.
"We are going to Hogsmade to Apparate to the Burrow," Hermione mentioned.
"Let's hurry
Hogsmade isn't considered safe," said.
"You probably noticed the missing bodies," Ron said "They were moved to the hospital wing McGonagall said she will notify us when arrangements were made."
Arrangements. Harry knew they meant funerals.
Finally reaching of Hogsmade, he closed his eyes, grabbed Ron and Hermione's hand and Apparated away.
