Tori Vega sighed as she put her tons of books inside her locker at Hollywood Arts. Tori was depressed you can say. The biggest party of the year was tonight, but of course she couldn't go.

Her stepdad David was having some stupid dinner and her mom had practically commanded that she had to go. Of course all the bad things had to happen to her.

As she closed her locker her two best friends Jade West and Cat Valentine jumped out of nowhere. Cat's real last name was Valencia but she changed her last name to Valentine because she dyed her hair the color of a red velvet cupcake.

"Gosh guys! You scared me!" Tori gasped and pressed her hand against her heart. Cat and Jade laughed, as if it was the funniest thing in the world.

"So, are you going to the party tonight?" Jade asked, leaning against the locker next to Tori's.

"I don't know, are you?" Tori asked, just hoping that her two best friends weren't. Of course, she was wrong.

"Um, duh! This is the party of the year! We can't miss out on it!" Cat said, twirling a strand of her bright red hair around her middle finger.

Tori groaned, she was just so frustrated!

"I can't go! Apparently, David is having some dinner for my mom and I. My mom says I have to go." Tori said, slamming her head against her locker door.

"Tell her my dog died!" Jade said, apparently thinking she came up with the best idea ever.

"Umm Jade? You don't have a dog..." Tori replied, this whole conversation wasn't making her feel any better.

"Uh, yea I do! And he just died." Jade replied, matter of factly. Suddenly the bell rang.

"We gotta go. If we're late to 's class again he'll kill us. Don't forget! Jade's dog died!" Cat said, slinging her blue tote bag over her right shoulder.

"Yep! See you later!" Jade said, and off they went.

Tori sighed and opened her locker again to take her history textbook. Her "locker neighbor" Trina walked up beside her to take her things out of her locker.

I guess you call Trina Hollywood Art's troublemaker. She rarely went to any of her classes, and so she flunked ALL of her classes.

"Oh Trina, Mrs. Yip told me to give you your math test." Tori took the test out of her folder and handed it over to Trina.

Trina took a quick look at the test.

"Wow, an F yet again. Guess that's what I get for only going to math class 4 times this year." Trina crumbled up the test and threw it in a nearby trash can.

Tori sighed and shut her locker. It was time to give her mother a call.

Nina Vega was one of the top lawyers in the country and was currently working on a new murder case.

Tori took her iPhone 5 out of her grey Jansport bookbag and looked through her contacts for her mother. The line rang 3 times and then her mother's finally came through.

"What happened Victoria?" Tori struggled to not her eyes. It was Tori, not Victoria.

"Hey mom. About that dinner tonight, do I have to go?" Tori said anxiously.

"Now Victoria, you know how much this dinner means to David." Her mother replied.

"I know but can't David like change the date? Tonight is the party of the year! Everyone is going! Cat, Jade, even Beck!"

Beck was Tori's boyfriend of now 2 years.

"No! You made him change the date 2 times now! First it was some sort of project with Andre, then you had to practice for the Full Moon Jam with Ryder, now some party?"

The second bell rang.

"Alright fine! I'll go to this stupid dinner! I'll take to you later, I have to get to class." Tori hang up frustrated and threw her iPhone into her bag.

Today was going to be the most horrible day ever, but only if Tori knew what was going to come next.
