Resident Evil: Playground

I do not own Resident Evil or Capcom.
Prologue
The changes came quickly. It seemed that overnight dozens upon dozens of cameras had been placed across town. Everyone assumed it was for security, to keep an eye out for criminals. But did a town with one of the lowest crime rates in the state really need these precautions? We didn't bother asking. We didn't even know who to ask, we just shrugged it off and lived our lives.
Some two weeks later there was then a city wide power outage. We were told by authorities to remain indoors. Coincidentally, no one could get a signal out of town; no Internet, no cell phones. We were isolated, cut off from the outside. The outage lasted about a week. Some people tried to leave, I'm still not sure if they ever made it out.
When power returned we believed that things would return to normal. We were all dead wrong. During the course of the outage large stone barricades had been put up around the town. People began to panic, riots broke out in the streets. Citizens demanded answers, which they expected to get from the mayor. She had none; no one believed her. Things calmed down a bit after several days, people remained in their homes. Then, one morning, all hell broke loose.
We didn't even hear the helicopters pass over the town. They dropped several small metallic crates, big enough to hold ten men. There was timer on each, counting down five hours. Panic swept the city like a tidal wave. People rammed their cars in futile attempts at destroying the barricades. City hall closed its doors to the public, but they nonetheless broke in. The police station was another place of refuge. Dozens of people were killed; trampled, shot, run over, the list goes on. And then, the timers hit zero.
It was 11:30-ish in the morning when "they" emerged from those metal crates. Wild-eyed people, men and women alike. They attacked anyone they set their blood-red eyes on. Worse yet, anyone who so much as suffered a single bite turned out like them within only a minute or so. Blood covered the streets, soaked the walls. It bathed the corpses of people lucky enough to have died before being turned.
My name is Bobby Grey, and I some how survived this nightmare.
