Even throughout adolescence, he was never without noise. Constant chatter always blazed about him. From the excited chatter of fellow orphans in the care system to the more than amused ramblings of his twin brother, not once had Oliver known the wonders of true silence.
It was an idea he found enticing. A space in time that could be dedicated to anything he wished. He could hone his thoughts to draft new hypotheses on PK. One day, his wish would be granted. Fifteen minutes of glorious silence. No chatter from his brother-now halfway across the globe. No one telling him to hurry up or asking him his *brilliant* opinion for his doctorate. Just complete and utter silence.
Now? Oh, how he wished the silence in his mind would disappear.
