"Hey, Axel."
"Hm?"
"What's Friday the 13th?"
"…"
"Well?"
"Friday the 13th is a superstitious event that when the 13th day of any month falls on a Friday, bad luck occurs on that very day."
"Oh."
Roxas resumed at playing his game, FF VIII: Dirge of Cerberus. Axel continued reading his book that he "borrowed" from Zexion.
"Why'd you ask?"
"Nothing. Just curious."
"Oh…"
Silence again…
Axel looks at Roxas, who saved the game and turned off the console.
Roxas looks back. "What?"
"Nothing." Axel turns to the book again.
After a few minutes of silence…
"I'm going to get a drink." Roxas stood up from the floor.
"Get me some too!" Axel shouted.
Roxas was about to go to the doorway when he turned to Axel.
"Axel, don't you remember something?" Roxas looked at him with worry.
"Not at the moment, why?" Axel looks back at Roxas.
Roxas sighed and went towards the kitchen. Axel turned back to his book when Demyx goes into the room.
"Hey, Axel! Where's Roxas?" Demyx shouted towards the doorway while holding a present.
"He went to the kitchen and what's with the gift?" Axel closed the book and points at the present.
"Oh, this? Well, it's for Roxas."
"It's not Roxas' birthday."
"I know it's not his birthday."
"Then what's it for?"
"…"
"Axel, don't you remember?"
"Remember what?"
"August 13, 8-13?"
"What about that day? Besides, it's just Friday the 13th."
"It's your and Roxas' first anniversary."
"Anniversary? For what?"
"The time when you and Roxas first met."
Axel's eyes widened and face palmed.
"And I thought I was the forgetful one."
"Aww, man! HOW COULD I FORGET?"
