Dick shifted his sitting position, trying to avoid getting a numb butt from the hard ground, this caused the earphone he was wearing to fall out. Rachel picked it up and handed it to him, before re-adjusting the other one that she was wearing and scrolling through some different songs on her phone.

"Choose that one, the last two were way too depressing." said Dick, pointing at the screen.

"You were the one who chose them…" she stated, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Whatever."

The two were sitting at the edge of the field at school, attempting to get some last-minute cramming done before the math test, other groups of teens could be seen wandering around or sitting in their respective groups.

"Okay," the girl started, "Explain the operations needed for question six."

"Six? Well, you've got to…"

"Yes?"

She could tell that his mind was elsewhere along with his eyes, and she followed his gaze until it landed on a certain Kori Anderson. No surprise there.

"Hello? Anyone home?" she asked, then proceeded to give him a hard flick to the head.

"Hey!"

"Hey to you, too. Now, question six."

Dick sighed and picked up his book, flicking through the pages until he found the right one.

"Rae, we've already gone over this one twice, and I'm pretty sure we've done number nineteen at least four times, it's not even meant to be that hard."

Rachel rolled her eyes, "Fine, you can go back to gawking at Kori."

"Jealous?"

"Don't flatter yourself."

"You're just grouchy because that Garfield guy stared at you all through English Lit."

"Hi, Sherlock, nice to meet you."

"Ouch. You owe me a full restore, or at least a burn heal."

"Yet people think you're meant to be cool..."

They both looked at each other and gave a small smile. Dick closed his book and put it in his bag while saying, "Here's a deal: I'll talk to Kori if you talk to Gar."

Rachel began to pack her stuff away too, "I'm not seeing what's in it for me right now, just a chance for you to make fun."

"Okay, I'll throw in one of Victor's homemade waffles too."

"Deal."

The bell rang, and all round the school students groaned and picked up their bags.
