So finally after longing to hold him in her arms, there he was. His head rested on her forearm and she cradled his
body against her chest. She stroked his black hair and kissed his forehead. She didn't know how long he would last.
He wound wouldn't stop bleeding. With her Chi blocked she couldn't save him. But he took the hit out of love; he
shielded her body out of love. She would never be able to rid the hatred in Asumi's heart. She had once held a place
in Mako's heart but Korra had replaced it with true love. The passion to destroy over whelmed her; she took her
frustration out with one knife and tons of rage and chi blocking. She carefully planned out her revenge and that's
why they sit here now under the earth in the sewers. Korra tried to stay silent but her bending wasn't back. She
ripped some cloth from her shirt and pressed it against Mako's side. He flinched but soon he relaxed. He grabbed
her hand that applied pressure and removed it from his side. He breathed heavily and slowly opened his hazel eyes.
Korra spilled over tear and with one gentle hand Mako erased them away. Mako let his eyes float around his head.
He had such a headache from the loss of blood but at least the pain was beginning to numb. Mako sat up; a bit to
quickly. He fell backwards onto Korra's thigh. He tried to pace his breathing but failed. He panted harder and harder.
Korra didn't know what she could do. Her bending still wouldn't work. She couldn't let her love die this way; agony
and pain. A loud crash interrupted her train of thought. Asumi made herself present with the weapons of the non-
benders. Asumi ran a finger on the metal wall. She place the electrical glove on her left hand. The electricity flooded
the sewers. Korra screamed. Mako had finally let go. Everything was moving in slow motion. Mako's body fell so
gracefully before he hit the floor. His body was completely stretched out and Asumi wickedly laugh and showed her
evil smile. Korra fell to her knees and placed her hands on her face. Korra's body jerked. She woke with sudden
breathes and a shaking feeling throughout her body. Mako lay next to her asleep. He had not been disturbed by the
avatar's rude awakening. Korra caught her breath and drifted back to sleep.
