This is the story of a girl, of 15 to be exact. She was the Queen bee of her school, anyone with more than two brain cells could figure that out. She was popular, talented and even looked up upon to by the teachers. But what she wasn't was smart. Her name was Alice, and within a week, she would disappear, to be never seen again.
Her day started off as normal; Wake up, get changed, Go to school, come home, go out with friends, go to sleep and repeat. She thought she was safe, she was wrong. Little did she know that someone had come across her social media page. He started messaging her, telling false information to the teen, gathering her details little by little. How long has this been going on? Enough for him to know where she lived, her school, and even her medical record. You may have guessed this story now, yes, this is a stalker.
How did this happen? How did it get so personal and deep? Well, here's what happened…
It started on a weekend in May, 2 years ago, Alice was finally given permission to have social media. As soon as she started to post, people started to notice her 'beauty', as she liked to say. She gained a following quite quickly, as her profile was on public. Yes, this sounds all innocent, just a young girl showing the world what she has to offer, but after one more post, it will become deadly. She had just posted a picture of her trying on her prom dress for after her GSCE's, someone commented on it. They started to message each other, Alice thought he was a boy called Ethan, he was 17 and he went to a school 20 minutes away from her school. One day, 2 years later, he asked if they could meet in real life, so he could see if she was any prettier, obviously she said yes without a doubt.
The next day she left the house and said goodbye to her parents, who were oblivious to the situation. She phoned a taxi and went to where he said to meet, when she arrived she paid the taxi and knocked on the house door, a man came to the door claiming to be the boy's father, she walked in. After she entered the house, she never left, the police have tried to get into the house but failed. She never got to graduate, she was never given a chance, because once she messaged him, there was no going back.
