Paul's POV
Chemistry is awful with out Cherry. Her real name is Sherry Ryans but since she has bright red hair everyone calls her Cherry. Cherry is my girl friend but also my imprint. "Freak ginger ain't here so I actually gotta take my notes." A voice muttered. Everyone in school knew not to mess with my Cherry. I looked at the guy who said that. It was Todd Alfred, quarter back and the stupidest person ever.
I wanted to pound this guy's face in. I smiled and said "You know she's my girl friend." Todd nodd then said "You gonna play her cause she ain't that pretty." I was so close to pounding this guy into mush. "No I'm not." I said through clenched teeth. Through the whole class he was passing me notes with very crude things about Cherry, most said she would never get laid. The bell rang and I pulled this guy into the hall way.
I pushed him into his locker. "Dude what the heck!" He yelled back. I slammed him into the locker again. "Don't talk about Cherry like that!" I yelled back. The teacher didn't seem to see anything besides me protecting my girl friend. The English teacher , even congratulated me on fighting for my girl's honor or some romantic junk.
By the time the day was over Todd had a black eye and a broken nose,I really don't know what happened. I drove home in my old truck,it was making a weird noise I'd have to ask Cherry to look at it. I opened the door with the key under the mat. Her mom likes me so I'm welcome at there house alot. I saw Cherry wrapped up in 6 billion blankets with a pile of tissues around her.
"Baby,you doin any better?" I said moving some tissues to sit by her. She nodded but then coughed so I'm guessing she was lying. "Want me to make you some soup?"I asked knowing her mom left me instructions on how to make soup from a can. Her mom's a nurse at the hospital so she knows a cold before it happens. I went into the kitchen and found some microwavable soup and read the instructions.
They looked easy enough so I followed them. I was so busy watching the soup I had no clue Cherry was beside me until she said "I could have done that." I jumped a little then got the soup out and poured it in a bowl. "Go back to the couch I'm getting stuff for you today." I said. A part of me was thinking what's diffrent about that I already do everything for her.
She sighed but went back to the couch. I wanted to see how far I could go with waiting on her before she's say knock it off. I sat with her on the couch and grabbed the spoon. "Uh no I can feed myself." She said sassy taking the spoon. "Oh snap!" I said with the sassy snap afterwards. Cherry finished eating the soup and said "Oh my gosh you can make microwavable soup."
I smiled and put my arm around her. She laid her head on my chest and covered her self with the blankets. "Nice to be used as pillow." I said laughing. "Uh huh." She said trying to sleep.
