The bell rang for Mrs. Starks 3rd grade class and everyone sat in their seats.
"Ok class, we will be learning how to multiply today, so who can tell me what a multiple is?", asked Mrs. Starks. A young brunette girl with chocolate brown eyes rose her hand almost immediately and a young reddish-brown haired boy sitting beside her rolled his eyes at the young girl.
'She is such a teacher's pet and, she always gets everything right. But she is really pretty, it is cool that she is smart, but no one can ever know that. Oh man, she just passed a not to me. I wonder what it says.' Derek opened the note and read it.
'Do you love me? Or want to be my friend? Check yes or no. Oh gosh, she likes me! I can't believe it, Casey actually likes me.' Thought Derek.

I couldn't get to sleep, so I am now sitting up in bed watching my beautiful wife sleep. She is so perfect. I can still remember how we became boyfriend and girlfriend. I was so mean to her for a long time, I guess that whole "boys are mean when they are in love" thing at that age is true. The whole time I liked her, she liked me back, and I didn't even find out until she finally got the courage to write me a note asking if I liked her. To think, that little note twenty years ago led to a relationship stronger than we could ever comprehend.
