Hey peeps, I know, it's been a while, though I'm posting another REALLY soon, I promise! This one, a sort of angst-y one as well as the start of a 25 parter. This one is quick and short but I won't spoil it~ alrighty then! Without further ado, ENJOY! ~

John and Dave lied together on the soft, warm bed in Dave's room. Thunder clapped outside. A downpour of rain pounded on the roof and window. The noise was constant but in a way, relaxing, a white noise to combat the silence surrounding them. John was huddled close to Dave, curling against his lover and keeping his face buried in the warm chest. They lie in content silence until an unusually loud clap of thunder boomed outside and John jolted slightly in Dave's arms.

"Some storm huh?" Dave quietly nods, eyes trained on the window where sheets of rain were falling across the glass, "Some storm inde-" his sentence was cut off by a bolt of lightning and more thunder. Not even a few seconds later the lights flickered off. Dave held John tightly, curling around him and shielding him from the sudden dark around them.

A soft sigh fell past Dave's lips and his hand went up to stroke John's hair, lacing it through his fingers. John let himself relax into Dave, melting into their own little world where nothing could touch them. "I love you Dave." John whispered just above the sound of the rain, gently pecking his cheek. Dave gave John's lip a peck in return, his heart swelling within his chest.

Their love still burned as brightly as when they first came together as one two years ago. They both saw and loved everything in each other. John was a strong leader and always tried to see the lighter side of life. Dave deeply cared for his friends and always seemed to be looking out for them. Dave adored John's curly black hair and John loved Dave's deep red eyes. Both of them had their hardships yet even before they became lovers, they helped one another see the beauty in themselves and in the world around them. It's one of the many stunning things in their relationship and neither of them could ask for anything better.

John leaned into Dave's chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart, hearing it synchronize with his own as the relentless rain pounded outside. "I love you too John more than you can imagine." A slight red filled Dave's cheeks when he spoke. He savored the privilege to say that and to hear it in return. It was what he cherished more than anything in the world.

John's soft laugh at Dave's red cheeks pulled the blond from his thoughts and brought his gaze down to the man in his arms. "Red of every shade suits you." The blush deepened, as much as he wished it wouldn't, but the compliment still sat heavy and warm in his chest. Slowly the two fall asleep in each other's arms, their soft synchronized heartbeats lulling them to sleep as the torrential rains roared outside.

"I love you so much, John, never forget that." He whispered quietly as he falls asleep. "I never will." the boom of thunder that shook the whole building shook Dave awake with a start. He sat up and looked down to the small white shirt in his hands. He held it close as tears started to wet it. As he was viciously ripped back into reality, his thoughts drifted to John, hi lover buried deep in the earth that was now soaked in the rain of the storm.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey
You never know, dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

The other night, dear, as I lay sleeping
I dreamt I held you in my arms
When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
So I hung my head, and I cried
