WINNER

"How did this happen?" his soft voice echoed throughout the plain white room. There he laid on the plain white bed his arms cradling the back of his head in the corner of the room. His green eyes fixed to the plain white ceiling thoughts pouring through his head. He had lost his 2 best friends.

'Xion' he shook her away from his thoughts. She had to go; he had seen Sora's face when she pulled of her hood when she knocked out Xigbar. She was connected to Sora and so was Roxas.

'Roxas' he sat up from his bed. He felt a clench in his chest. A clench where a heart is suppose to be. A small smile was placed on his lips. Roxas always had this effect on him, he didn't know why. He always felt like Roxas had a heart because it made him feel like he had a heart too. He always considered Roxas as his best friend, but he always seemed to care about Xion a little more than Axel. The feeling always made his chest clench, he couldn't explain why he felt like this.

Did he need a heart to explain why he was feeling like this whenever he thought of Roxas? Trying to erase Roxas from his mind he shook his head. His green eyes wandered the plain room.

Looking to the side of his bed near the window his eyes widened. A white envelope was placed on the side of his bed. Curious he got up causing his black knee length boots to touch the floor and his black hooded jacket to sweep the tiles slightly. Bending he picked up the envelope and flipped it a few times and frowned. There was no name on the envelope. Sighing he flipped it over and opened the envelope carefully. His black gloved hand slowly reached inside the envelope and he pulled out a wooden stick. His eyes widened. The name once again flew in to his mind. 'Roxas' his breathing suddenly became shallow.

He closed his eyes and dropped the envelope the stick laid in his hand protectively. Looking out of the window up to the heart shaped moon that was known as Kingdom Hearts he frowned. There was no meaning in this life anymore. The moon's light illuminated the now dark room where Axel stood. Closing his eyes again he felt water cascade down his cheeks. He did not bother to wipe it away. Instead he looked directly at the heart shaped moon once again. More water began to cascade down his cheeks. Maybe for once he had a heart when he entered the new world as Axel.

Flashback

"Hey, Roxas are you sure you don't have a heart?"

"I don't know..."

Axel stayed silent as he watched the blond hair boy look down.

"It's not like, I can just take a look inside."

Axel laughed but his answer was stuck in his head.

End of Flashback

"It's not like I can just take a look inside." He repeated the words of the blond hair boy. Axel frowned and for the first time he felt something in his chest. Not a bad feeling but a good feeling.

Walking to the side table of his room he opened one of the drawers and placed the wooden popsicle stick that had the word 'WINNER' written in the middle. Closing it he would keep it as a memory of Roxas. A clench was felt in his chest again as more water cascaded from his eyes to his cheeks.

A/N : I know that it's kind of short but I just felt like I had to stop there because I wanted to stick to the story line of Kingdom Hearts but I also wanted Axel to feel like he has a heart or more like have one.
