Apples and Oranges
Victoire and Dominique couldn't be any more different. Some would think they would hate each other, how different they were. They were apples and oranges, sugar and spice, sweet and sour. Completely opposite.
Victoire. The obedient, older sister who always had people stopping to stare at her in a crowd. The one who always got to school on time and never got in trouble. She was almost a carbon-copy of her mother. Long, silky silvery-blonde hair framed her face and big doll-like blue eyes stood out quite well on her pale face. She was also the one who spent hours choosing her outfits every day, not minding if what she wore was a bit too tight, or a tad too short. She might have been the one who`s outfit stood out in the crowd, but she was always the shier sister. She was the first Ravenclaw in the family, but no one was surprised.
Dominique. The wilder, crazy younger sister who could care less about what people thought of her. She was the dare-devil. The one who everyone knew and you couldn't help but liking. She had a mix of her mother and father`s traits. Bold, bright red hair stood out against her pale face that she insisted always had to be layered. Her eyes were also blue, but more of a Liz Taylor color than the light sky blue her sister had, and a sprinkling of freckles covered her nose. She was gorgeous too, but more of an 'I`m unique' gorgeous. She was the person who helped James and Fred plan numerous pranks in school, and the first person to jump in the Black Lake after the rules said you couldn't, just for the fun of it. Before the hat even touched her head, "GRYFFINDOR" was bellowed loud and clear throughout the dining hall.
But, despite how the two were polar opposites, Domi and Vic soon came to be best friends. Dom helped Vic get out of her shell many more times than once, along with making her forget about her books and homework for a couple minutes, and Vic helped Dom calm down her hectic personality, and offered more than once to help her get ready for her dates when she was older. The two helped each other through thick in thin, despite how many arguments the two got in. And when one was down, the other was always ready to help her and kick the person who hurt her along the way.
So yes, they were apples and oranges.
But who knew? Apples and oranges could be made into something pretty special.
