I Love You

Hello, readers … This is my first Fanfic so it will not be as good. After Mocking Jay.

"Peeta?" I asked softly. He was having nightmares again and I had to wake him. His face was covered in a light sheet of sweat so I knew his dreams were intense.

"Peeta!" I said louder. He was whimpering now and I had to get him out of his misery …and fast.

I was shaking him now and he had a painful mask of pain. He wouldn't wake up. Now what?…I was on top of him shaking him harder.

"PEETA!" I yelled. He was now saying,"Katniss! Run!" I wasn't running of course, I only was running out of ideas. So I started to sing." I-"I couldn't finish. I had a song in mind and was planning to sing it .But, after the first word I just couldn't. I could not. A wave of pain swelled up in my chest threatening to choke me .Prim, Prim ….the pain was getting stronger and stronger by second. I had sung this song to Prim when she was a year old and sick with a cold. And now….where was she? I needed her. But after reminding myself of Peeta, I kept on singing. I had to leave these memories behind in order to keep Peeta happy and give him my love …my love.

"I remember tears streaming down your face

When I said, 'I'll never let you go'

When all those shadows almost killed your light.

I remember you said, 'Don't leave me here alone'

But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight ..."

"Just close your eyes

The sun is going down.

You'll be alright

No one can hurt you now.

"Don't dare look out you window

I did it, I roused Peeta.

"Katniss"he said. He looked at me with so much love I couldn't help feeling lucky. His azure eyes gleamed with a look of admiration .He whispered my name again and closed his eyes kissing my neck.

I put my arms around his neck pulling him closer.

"I love you "I whispered and lifted his face to stare at his eyes, his beautiful eyes, and kissed him.
