MAIXI AND THE SKY
You may have heard that Maixi lived a horrible life. At the age of eleven, her parents died unexpectedly, leaving her alone in the cold, harsh world. She was on her own for two years, then decided she had to make drastic changes.
Earth has been dark, gloomy and miserable. Each night Maixi would pray to Omega, the god of the sky to grant her one wish. For earth to change it's deceiving ways and if he was kind enough, to give her back her parents. They say when a mortal dies; they are either a glittering star or a rock. This is all decided upon Omega, the god of the sky, Dellachi, the goddess of the moon, and Eatatheta, the goddess of the stars. Since Omega was the god of the sky, he had the most endowment over everyone.
To get rid of the misery inside her, Maixi sent the messenger, Pirho, to deliver a letter to the god and goddesses. Since she was a mortal, she was banned from entering the sky. Pirho was able to climb a rock and jump, having the sparkling mortal stars grab him.
Omega received the letter, but it was no use. Omega simply wanted all mortals to suffer. He would cringe at the thought of even opening a mortal's letter. "You are not to say anything to me about my decisions," Omega would constantly say to Dellachi and Eatatheta. "Or your powers will be taken away, and you shall be turned into the ugliest rocks the earth can have." This scared Dellachi and Eatatheta, for they think that being immortals makes them more superior than the rest. Pirho would, like usual, climb back down to earth to reveal the terrible news. This, however, did not stop Maixi.
One night, Maixi wore identical clothes like Pirho and snuck into the night sky. She carried bronze bow and arrows, (for only the immortals carry the golden bow and arrows) and slaughtered Omega. This was not easy. To disobey an immortals rules (entering the sky as a mortal) meant being punished.
Fearing their loss of power, thinking Omega was still somehow watching them, Dellachi and Eatatheta sent Maixi to the maze in Mount Olympus. But as years went by, Dellachi and Eatatheta were becoming too weak to handle the night sky and mortals on their own. "We must not surrender to Maixi, for one she is a mortal, and Omega has told us several times not to obey anyone else but him," Eatatheta would confirm to Dellachi.
"Oh, but he was terrible, Eatatheta, and she is brave. We need someone who will use their power for good!"
Surely, Maixi was released from the maze and crowned the new goddess of the sky. Earth was now bright and safe, and Maixi used her power for good. All mortals and all immortals praised Maixi as if Omega was never the established god. Maixi never had her parents back, for bringing a mortal back to life was against all odds.
They say the sky is the brightest at night simply because earth is no longer gloomy. When it's dark, the stars and moon are there to shine light to the mortals. They also say Omega is the biggest rock on earth, for all his shame and bad deeds have been extensive in all of earth's lifetime.
