Love…that was lost in a blink of an eye!

She sat alone in her room –after her heart had been broken for the final time. She couldn't take it any longer –she just had to get away. Salty tears streamed down her face as she made her way to the bathroom. Her mum and dad where out; celebrating the New Year. Taking a slow walk into the bathroom, she reflected in her life so far. In the eighteen years of her life, all she suffered was betrayal, heartache and pain. She placed a small sharp blade to her throat. She felt her blood run down her neck, as she felt dizzy. She fell to the floor in a heap, hitting her head as she did so.

Hours later as the clocks chimed 12, her ex tried to call her.

"Hey…babe I didn't mean what I said…I love you baby…I can't live without you…I need you…" you could here the tears. "I need you babe…call me when you get this message…let me know you're ok…talk to me…Happy New Year baby girl…love you…"

The hours passed, and at 3o'Clock the front door opened to a drunken mum and dad. They walked upstairs unaware of the state their daughter was in.

"You coming to bed?" a husky voice asked his wife.

"Just going to use the bathroom first," a higher pitched voice, his wife, answered.

She pushed open the door and stumbled over something in the dark. Turning on the light she screamed. Her husband joined her and pulled his wife's body close to his. The young girl's death was announced in the newspaper over the next few days.

The week after, the local paper read;

SECOND YOUNG GIRL TO DIE…

Yesterday was the second of two young girls to commit suicide within a week of each other. We do have reason to believe that the two young girls were once in a relationship but after it ending badly, the first of the two slit her throat. After finding out what had happened to her loved one, the second girl too slit her throat. Both families were unaware of the girls going on's but are both grieving for the other. The girls are to be buried together, with a gravestone reading…'R.I.P Ashley and Maggie…two lively girls who lived life to the full. You shared a love…that was lost in a blink of an eye!'
