Monsters With Monsters As Friends

They were different.

They were not normal.

They were monsters.

Each one of the four Devil Fruit users on the Straw Hat crew had been called that multiple times.

None of them had been confused the first time they had been called that but they tried to forget it.

Luffy was a kind boy with the warmest heart in the world but because of his ridiculous strength most of the kids his age had been afraid of him when he lived in Fuusha Village and after he ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi and turned into a rubber-man they only because more scared, calling him a monster whenever they saw him.

Luffy just laughed it off.

Chopper was already an outcast before he ate his Devil Fruit due to his blue nose but it became worst when he ate the Hito Hito no Mi and gained the ability to turn human-like and it also caused the humans on his island to start trying to kill him, believing he was a yeti and he would have probably died if it hadn't been for his mentor who took him in.

Chopper just did everything he could to make himself feel useful.

Robin had never had an easy life with her mother leaving her and being treated as a slave by her aunt and when she ate the Hana Hana no Mi the people of her island called her a monster, threw vegetables and rocks at her and kept telling her she needed to die.

Robin just isolated herself and when her island was destroyed she just hurt others to survive and forget her own pain.

Brook had a happy life when he was really alive with a fun crew who loved music and always had fun until they all died before brook's eyes before he died himself and after finding his body back as allowed by the Yomi Yomi no Mi he was left as a skeleton which made him literally a monster as like in scary stories told to kids.

Brook just laughed it off like Luffy and focused on staying alive to fulfill his promise to Laboon.

All four were different and were usually misunderstood.

Then they found each other.

They understood each other about being called a freak and a monster because of their powers.

They also understood their shared weakness and by knowing it was a shared weakness they felt less vulnerable about it even though most of the crew still could swim and they couldn't.

They just avoided going into the water together, also resulting in nobody sitting lonely on the beach while the others were swimming but having at least some company.

They understood each other's pains, strengths, weaknesses brought by their powers but that allowed Luffy, Chopper, Robin and Brook to always wordlessly comfort each other about it when needed.

The End

I just thought there should be a story about all the Devil Fruit users on the crew. Please review and read my other stories!
