The stronger warriors help out the weaker kits, so that when they are weak, the kits will care for them. Trust and kindness, respect and love, these are the building blocks of the warrior code. Without these, the clans would be no better than their prey. Kits are the future of the clans, and are very valuable. One warrior that broke this code was Brokentail/Star. He started training kits to be apprentices when they were as young as 2 or 3 moons. They had barely started to eat fresh-kill when they were set to battle trained warriors. This was clearly neglecting kits in danger, even putting kits in danger. This rule is one of the most important in the code, because it ensures the loving spirit of the clans will live on forever. If warriors can recognize the importance and innocence of the kits, they will rescue them gladly. Any warrior should be prepared to be hurt or die for a kit, no matter what clan.
