Taking After Evil
A tall, brown haired girl sat typing on the computer in front of her. She was transfixed by what she was doing. Her fingers moved so fast that it was impossible to tell what she was typing. She grinned evilly when she was finished with her masterpiece and hurried to submit her new story. After a few seconds she found herself in the forums and began to talk to some of her friends. A young man walked into the room and groaned when he saw the girl sitting in front of the computer.
"Do you always have to be talking to her?" Peter Pevensie asked his wife as she typed furiously on her computer. The brown haired girl clicked submit and looked back at her husband.
"I don't know what you mean," she said, faking an innocent smile.
"Beauty, you know exactly what I mean," said Peter, pointing to the computer. "You're talking to Leila again. She is a bad influence on you. Just look at what she does to James."
"Oh, calm down," Beauty replied. "Nothing that bad has happened to you."
"I get the sense that there is a yet coming on," said Peter. Beauty grinned. "Some nice stories every once in a while would be good."
"It's far too much fun being evil," said Beauty, picking up a penknife from the table.
"Where did you get that?" Peter asked, wide eyed.
"I was having some trouble with Vita," said Beauty, nodding toward the bloodied up muse. "I thought this would help."
"That isn't answering my question," Peter stated. "Where did you get it?"
"Boo," came a voice behind Peter, making him jump back to the wall. Both girls laughed and Peter glared at the dark haired woman standing in front of him.
"I should have known she got that from you, Leila," said Peter, turning to his wife. "You weren't talking to her online were you?"
"Not at the moment," said Beauty, giggling.
"Beauty mentioned she was having trouble with her muse," said Leila, grinning evilly. "I thought I could help."
"Not torturing James right now?" Peter asked.
"She's done her fair share for the day," came a sad voice behind Leila. Peter glanced behind Leila to see James sitting at the nearby table with his face in his hands. "She just got done writing more of All Shall Fade."
Peter sat next to the man, staring at the two friends chatting.
"Beauty has been writing sad drabbles and one shots again," said Peter, resting his chin on his fist.
"Sorry about my wife influencing yours," said James, looking over to Peter.
"There's nothing you can do about it," Peter replied. "Leila has already turned Beauty and I don't think there is any way to get her back."
The two looked over to their wives, who were in deep conversation. Leila grinned evilly and James put his head back in his hands.
"That's never a good sign," said James, his voice muffled. "I hate to think of what else she plans to do with me."
"I've heard what Beauty is planning to do to me," said Peter, sighing. "I wish there was some way we could stop them."
"I've tried that," said James. "And it only ends in more pain."
