Tonight was Wednesday, and like every other Wednesday night, Mari Takahashi and Matt Sohinki were having a date night. It was never anything too fancy, usually just a movie or dinner at a restaurant. Just a night out on the town to relax and have fun. But this time was different. They had a picnic by the lake. They've been together for 3 years and have lived together for two of them and they have never had a picnic together. The night was perfect. The air was comfortably warm. The stars and moon shone so bright that they didn't even need a lantern. They just talked, and ate, and kissed, and snuggled, and enjoyed themselves. Whenever they got home, they watched a movie which ended in them making out on the couch. I'm not going to say what happened next, but it wasn't very child appropriate.
(A few weeks later)
Mari woke up and rushed to the bathroom to vomit. She hadn't been feeling well this whole week. Her body was aching, she had headaches more than usual, and she had been exhausted. She was definitely not going to the studio today. "Are you okay?" asked a very concerned looking Matt from the doorway of the bathroom. "Yeah. I must've caught something from one of my students." She replied. "I just got a call from Anthony. He needs me at the studio for editing." Said Matt. "Okay. I'm staying home today." Replied Mari. "Alright." Said Matt. They said their goodbyes and Matt left for the day. Mari was watching TV and a tampon advertisement came on. That advertisement made her realize that her period was over a week late.
