"I friggin hate research!" I shout to nobody in particular. I see Sam give me his trademark bitch face from across the motel room table.
"Seriously Dean? We started ten minutes ago!"
"I know but what's the point? Cas said he figured it out, his phone just died because he forgets to charge the damn thing. Once he gets back he'll tell us what the friggin thing is!"
"I know that Dean, but he's been on a beer run for the past two hours. He probably got side tracked again. We should be researching what's different about that siren killed those people that way we can figure out how to kill it sooner!" Sadly Sam's annoying rant makes sense, so I roughly grab the book I had been skimming and flop onto the lumpy bed closest to the door.
After another forty-five minutes of utter boredom, someone knocks on the motel room door. Not knowing if it is Cas or not, Sam and I fall silent. I grab my gun off my nightstand and slowly make my way towards the door. Holding the gun up against the door I open it cautiously, not knowing what to expect. I exhale loudly in a sort of half laugh, it's just Cas.
"Dude what took you so long?" I ask him with a smirk. The angel can get distracted by the simplest of things. I glance down to see what he bought, but Cas's hands are empty. "You forgot the beer dumb ass." I groan. That's the third time this month. At least this time he didn't come back with a furry little friend like last time. I quickly look behind me at Sam and nod to tell him it's just Cas and he relaxes his stance. I then look back towards Cas to see him biting his lip and looking up at me through his dark eyelashes.
"Sorry Dean," Cas says in a deep, husky tone. I gasp slightly at the sound. Cas's voice for whatever reason sounded so damn sexy. I stare at Cas wide eyed, I'm speechless.
"Shit that was… holy shit. Wait, what the hell is wrong with me? This is Cas, get yourself together. And don't think about the fact that Cas's voice was just sexy as all hell and how he was biting sinfully at his bottom lip... Oh fuck, he's looking at me, shit say something!"
"I...uh...um…" I take in breath and start again, "Are you coming in Cas or are you just gonna stand there all day?" I try to act annoyed as I step away from the door so Cas can see inside, it almost looks like he has a slight smirk on his face, which I ignore.
"Hey Sam, Cas is...," I start to say, as I glance towards him. I had started to walk over to my bed, but the look on my brothers' face stops me dead in my tracks. "Sam, what the hell's wrong with you?" Sam looks completely terrified as I see him staring at something behind me. I whirl around to see what's got him so scared but the only thing I see is Cas. Cas with a huge smirk spread across his whole face. I look back at Sam questionably, then back at Cas.
Cas still stands in the doorway smirking. I look closely at him trying to see what Sam is so terrified of. But my ministrations stop when I hear Sam say a name I haven't heard him say in years.
"Jess?"
